Didn't I tell you I'm done arguing with people that cannot or will not use logic?
I gave it to in the coaches poll. If you have a bunch of little fantasy land benchmarks that you use to make Iowa a top 5, how can I argue with that?

Let's face reality here, if the polls started today Iowa would in fact be ranked much closer to the top 5 then they currently are, but the short term historical bias of starting the year unranked takes time to overcome and luckily time is on Iowa's side now. If the polls started today Michigan would be fortunate to be pulling in single digit votes in any poll, which would slot them below the 25th position, instead of being propped up by graduate assistants who DGAF, voting for their bosses and a football team who's cobbled together with string & chewing gum and wrapping tape and a large heaping spoonful of irrational hope.
How's that for logic you UM slappy? Enjoy your annual descent towards mediocrity. Your tears of frustration must taste excessively sweet today, perhaps you should boil it down to a syrup to enjoy on your pancakes. We've owned you in our recent history (4 of last 5) much like your "little brother" has, and based on what I've seen with my own two eyes this season, we would handle you fairly easily this year as well, because your team is as soft as a pillow stuffed with cuddles. Do you even know what a resume is? Either present EVIDENCE for WHY five teams should be ranked ahead of Iowa, or present your GED so we can confirm that MichiganManLifer = MulvaSpills.
Define do something.. Be one of the two teams in the country that have road wins against Top 25 teams (along with Alabama)? Be one two teams that have beat 3 ranked (previously or currently) so far this year? Or did you want to talk last BCS bowl type stuff? Maybe head to head vs each other since I was born? I realize you guys do not have a lot of experience being 7-0 so I want to cut you some slack, but some of you make it pretty difficult with all your vitriol. That being said, it kind of sucks when people dismiss and discount the hawks accomplishments doesn't it? Maybe think about that the next time you feel like doing it to all the other teams. Glossing yourselves "bullies of the bigten" and what not, try making a good 3-5 year run of 11-1 or 10-2 type seasons before making complete idiots of yourselves. I'd say act like you been there, but since you haven't, I won't. Obviously there are some great hawk fans on here, but evidently not the more prolific posters. This is what I have trouble understanding, This is an Iowa message board, Yes some fans are likely going overboard, So what, They are excited about the team, About the season and what could be possible. Again, They are doing so on the IOWA forums, Why should fans of other teams be offended when they come to the IOWA board and see the fan base excited. I find this year much more enjoyable than last years fire the coach, Fire the AD, Fire the waterboy threads that dominated. Iowa is having a nice year so far and the fans are enjoying it, I see no problem..Again, It's outsiders that come to the IOWA board that seem to be finding it offensive, My advice, Don't visit if you dislike a fan base enjoying their team and the season they are having.
