How is there a Fresca shortage?

It's been hit and miss at HyVee since covid, but today took my weekly trip to the Vee, and they were stocking the pop shelves, lady asked me what I was looking for, said Fresca, and she said yeah, you're going to struggle to find it for awhile, some distribution issue...started to look online and sure as shit, Target, Walmart out...Amazon has a case for $32...wtf...doesn't Coke make it?

I can handle no TP, PT, rice, Clorox Wipes, working from home for the next decade, my wife not working for the last 2 months...but lack of Fresca is too much, struggle just got real.

my favorite soda of all time was the Diet Pepsi with lemon. Damn that was good. I often still put lemon juice in a Diet Pepsi or Coke.

I had you, OP, pencilled in for grapefruit Jarritos (producto de Mexico!).

While it does have plenty of calories, it is much healthier than Fresca, imo. Made with REAL sugar vs aspartame, or - as with Squirt and other sodas - HFCS.

Also, has just four ingredients vs a dozen or so in Fresca and Squirt.

I gave up soda awhile ago but before I did...I remember liking Fresca and thinking it was a very refreshing beverage. I believe it's fair to say that calorie free, lightly sweetened sodas like Fresca inspired the sparkling water beverages that are popular today

Fresca was the soft drink of choice of LBJ when he a President. Fresca was also the soft drink of choice for my father..so he could mix his Canadian whiskey in it for his nightly cocktail. None of us kids would touch it! Seven Up, Squirt, colas...we’d drain those and he’d never have a “mix”...

It is actually pretty damn good with dark rum. I discovered this in an airport in Honduras 20some years ago, during a flight delay returning home from a dive trip. I asked for a flor de Cana and Coke, bartender looked around in the fridge, looked up and said No Coke. So I asked for a flor de Cana and Diet Coke, she rummaged around again, looks up, No Diet Coke. So I ask, “well what DO you have”? She answers, I just got Fresca. So I got Flor de Cana and Fresca, and it was excellent. It became the only thing I will mix with rum.
