He's gonna need >2 3-pointers per game now to break that rookie record.

Needs 30 more and 14 games left (aside from playoffs, which would provide several more games)

Mitchell had 79 games played in setting that record.
Keegan is on pace (I believe) to play in 80 regular season games.

EDIT: Next 2 3's he makes, will put Steph Curry as the next rookie number to pass (166).

Keegan's shot seems to have deserted him lately, but he does enough other positive things when he's on the court to ensure his playing time. His stated goal was to help Sacramento finally get back to the playoffs, so while so the other rookies might have flashier stats, the Kings are holding solid in the standings.

Mike Brown knows how to use his players. That really makes a difference.

Kings win at Brooklyn by the score of 101-96. Win #42 for Sac. Keegan finishes with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and a steal. Kings in sole possession of 2nd place in the Western Conference, 4.5 games behind #1 Denver.

Kessler Edwards, who was acquired at the trade deadline, played 24 minutes & scored 10. He finished the game in place of Keegan. Most thought he'd spend most of his time in the G League, so he has ended up being another good move by the Kings GM.

7 Kings players scored in double figures:
24: Domantas Sabonis (21 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks)
18: De'Aaron Fox (5 assists, 6 rebounds)
12: Malik Monk (6 assists, 5 rebounds)
11: Keegan Murray
11: Harrison Barnes (6 rebounds)
11: Trey Lyles (6 rebounds)
10: Kessler Edwards

Keegan's Stats:

31 minutes (of 48 possible)

1-2 (50%) from 2 point range
3-6 (50%) from 3
............................................
4-8 (50%) overall shooting

0-0 FTs

11 points
4 defensive rebounds
1 steal

4 fouls
1 turnover

Huerting....

I had to look up Popliteus, lol. Don't know if that will be short term or chronic, but I hope he gets over that with treatment. As for the Kings, I think, as the article stated that there are several players who can cover the 2 and 3 spots. We should be ok.

I’ve always been a fan of Chicago’s pro teams but this season have to admit that I follow Keegan and the Kings far more than the Bulls.

Kings fans are fantastic. I sure hope they get a championship someday.
