How's Keegan Doing?

It's aggravating to have three year old threads continuing. I'm sick of looking at them. I see them as clutter.

Others love them. I get it. I just wish there was a way to opt out of seeing them the same way you can opt out of seeing certain posters.

Seriously now, what is preventing you from not posting on it. Say for example, if you don't like Fords or Chryslers, and feel the way you do here, do you think someone will call for the removal of those cars?

The alternative is new posts every time Murray plays. There’s likely more people that would prefer one 3 year old thread.

And, at some point in the near future, posts will become more infrequent as Keegan is now in his 3rd year. Keeping track of his development has been a long road for sure, but he has to put all of his training and experience into full swing by next season, or his value will be diminished. Still, this makes for interesting discussion.

We know you know nothing about the NBA. That is not a surprise.

I have somewhat adopted the Kings as my 2nd NBA team but the Bulls suck so at least the Kings are hanging around.
Zach LaVine had talent and has stayed healthy this year but like a lot of these guys he is overpaid.
He knows Demar and can provide offensive punch but not the volume shooter like fox...which is probably good for Kings

He will not improve their defense, tho.
Keagan might get a few more shots unless monk is on floor

The Kings have added DeMar, Zach Levine. And now ladies and gentlemen, please give a nice welcome to the latest addition to Sac- Jonas Valanciunis! Finally some USEFUL size off the bench.

NBA game time analysts opine that the Kings are going against the league trend by getting big but slow and clunky hoping to improve defense by physically beating up opponents in half-court.

As a Bulls fan I liked lavines talent when healthy but he could not carry a team to big success even with Demar and Vuc.

Defensively Kings are going to struggle to guard perimeter.

Wonder how this affects keagan?
Maybe not much since the new guys are center and shooting guard?
Did not go well last nite vs magic.
Keagan had 5 pts 6 tbs.

Lavine/Derozan didn’t work in Chicago and it won’t work in the much stronger western conference. Really don’t love Keegan’s situation at the moment. He’s already regressed somewhat from his first two years (offensively). And I don’t think he’s really going to have an opportunity to grow being the fifth option in Sacramento.

Bulls fan? Just curious.

I don't know if they can. DC has his hands full with trying to make roster adjustments with the guys Monte' added recently. He'll get that done, but is there enough time left to get into, at minimum, the play-in? Stay tuned. ;)

The Kings (25-26), with 31 games to go, currently sit as the #10 seed and would be in the Play-in Tournament. The Kings are 3.5 games out of the #6 seed (and avoiding the Play-in Tournament).

Seeds 7 through 10 play in the Play-in Tournament. The #10 seed has to win 2 straight in the Play-in Tournament to get the #8 seed in the NBA playoffs. The #8 seed then would play the #1 seed, which is currently Oklahoma City (41-9).

Side note: Until I get through the health challenges I'm having right now, I'm cutting down on posts. Well, I'm going to try. I've cancelled League Pass, and if games are on for free, then I'll try to watch. I'm still coming back to this thread to enjoy all of the posters comments.

About another week 'til the All Star break. Doug and his staff are working diligently to put the rotation jigsaw puzzle together. They've had post All Star break success in the past under McNair, even in spite of limited to no moves by the end of the trade deadline. Still can use a point guard and a wing. Mason Jones for PG has been mentioned. Not experienced yet, but he is a true PG. Ellis and Monk are SG's that are tasked with running the point as well. Come on Monte'!!!!!! Get us a guard. DeMar and Domas have also played PG in short stints. Come on now lol.

Watching the Kings comedy hour. Keegan got a pass on the perimeter, faked a 3, got the defender out of the way, drove hard to the rim (and I'm thinking, oh boy, look out! Monster dunk coming). He puts up a finger roll and it gets blocked.
