You may have already heard this, but Delly didn't play last night due to a fractured right index finger and will be evaluated going forward.

The Kings (47-31) lose a game at home that they should be winning, losing to the Spurs (20-58) 142-134.

The Kings fell to 23-17 at home, where they allow a head scratching 120.1 points per game.

Mike Brown, postgame: “We have not been good defensively at home. The reality of it is we play sort of soft at home. I hate to say it, but that’s it’s what it is. It’s factual. We have trouble stopping people on our home floor."

De'Aaron Fox, postgame:
"I don't know how many times San Antonio has scored 140 points, even with overtime included. We have to be much better on the defensive end. We can't keep talking about that.”

The Kings shot horribly from three (11-44 for 25%). Fox was 0-8, Huerter 2-12, Kessler Edwards 1-5.

6 Kings players were in double digit scoring:

28: De'Aaron Fox (4 rebs, 4 assists)

18: Keegan Murray
15: Terence Davis (3 rebs, 1 assist, 1 steal)

Keegan needs 6 more threes in 4 games to crack the 200 mark. At 2.55/game, he could reach 205 if he plays in the remaining games...

Now at >41% accuracy for the season. That's good for 3rd among the top 25 rookie leaders all-time. Only Steph Curry and Landry Shamet were more accurate.

Keegan's teammate, Huerter, has 200 so far in 2022-2023.
His totals since rookie year (2018/19) are:
136, 38.5%
127, 38.0%
140, 36.3%
160, 38.9%
200, 40.5%

Keegan also has more points in his rookie year (921) than Huerter did in any of his first 4 years. And Huerter has been a big part of the King's success this year, so not bagging on him - he's been a solid player in his 5 year NBA tenure. Averaged >12 ppg in his 5 years, and having a career year at 15.3 ppg with the Kings.

Huerter's output has increased almost 50% in his 5 years. If Keegan can match that, he'll be >300 3s per season, which would be top-6 all time (Harden and Curry hold the top 6 spots for 3s in a season, with the #6 spot currently at 299)

Great regular season for Kings!
Now , every team below them is jockeying to get that 6th seed because they think the Kings will melt in playoff more physical defensive style.
Gotta prove themselves all over again.
Can't wait!
