How's Keegan Doing?

Look for Fox to be traded before or by the Trade Deadline. In his presser, when asked about the last play where he closed out on Ivey, fouling him as Ivey hit the game tying shot, Fox said it didn't matter. Of course Ivey made the game winner at the line.

Kings lose at Lakers for their 6th straight loss 132-122. Keegan had 5 points, 3 rebounds, and the highest +- for both teams at -15. The starters Sabonis had 14, Demar had 25, Fox had 29, Monk had 20, and of course the 5 point contribution from Keegan.

LeBron James didn’t play for the Lakers because of "illness."

At this point, I'd like to see Keegan traded. Hard to watch this self destruction. I've never seen a player regress this way. Maybe a change would do some good.

Kings finally break the losing streak, beating Dallas 110-100. Mavs were without Luka, Irving, Lively, and one other player.
Keegan had 4 points and 6 rebounds in 36 minutes.

In Keegan's last 5 games he's averaging 9.5 points and 6 rebounds/game. Never thought I'd say this, but I think he wants out. At this point, his offensive production has been awful. Huerter had 3 points tonight as well. Could there be a trade involving these two coming up? Lyles had 14/4 tonight. I'd get Keegan out of the starting lineup, and maybe put Trey into his spot. Even in the short term. Not good.

The Kings fans have to be sick; they broke that huge playoff drought in 2023 and now this?

A lot of them are really pissed, and calling for a rebuild, even from the front office on down to the players. If that happens, and it's happened to them before, then it will be some time to build something. Going by memory, but I believe they've had 9 or 10 coaches (including interim coaches), and may actually be a little higher, since Vivek took ownership of the team in 2013.

Minnesota is struggling with the offseason changes they made, too. They haven't fired their head coach yet :)

The Nuggets head coach (who also got fired by the Kings) slammed the Kings owner in a postgame press conference after the Kings had fired Mike Brown by phone call.

I saw what Mike Malone said. "No class no balls." Remember what I said way back in this thread about Vivek being a "Loose Cannon"? lol.
Minny will get back on track, I'll bet. Chris Finch is a good coach. As far as I know, Ranadive' hasn't fired him too, HaHa.

The ownership and management is pathetic and deserve all the criticism they get.

I don’t think Keegan wants out. If anything there are too many players that want to be the main scoring threat and no one providing true leadership.

Fox is done. I had a lot of respect for him until this season. Keegan clearly still in his corner but I think Mr Fox has made it about him and the perception that he is deserving of a championship roster around him. Great player but needs more maturity. Definitely handled the media poorly at the very least and completely lost that game for Sac against Pistons.

Apparently there may have been some tension between Sabonis and Mike Brown as well. Worst collapse of a team, professional or otherwise, that I can recall in recent memory.

No Keegan last night. Doesn’t look like he even traveled with the team.

Traveled with the team to a home game? He’s got a bad left ankle but is questionable to play tomorrow vs Memphis.
My bad, thought they were in Philly for some reason. I only saw a little of the game and didn’t see Keegan on the bench, was he there? I saw he’s questionable vs Memphis.

Kings get their 3rd straight win after losing 6 games in a row over the Grizzlies. Keegan was out. The final score was 138-133. Devin Carter played for just 11 minutes in his first NBA game. Even though he did not score, his defense was solid, and he had 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

Kind of feel like they (Mike Brown) over emphasized Keegan’s defensive growth at the expense of his offensive game. Learning new positions, guarding teams best players 1-4 spot is quite the demand when that was never your specialty.

Add in another offensive threat like DeMar and the team is struggling overall so he’s yet to get into a groove this year. Mechanics might be off too or it’s a mental thing at this point. Maybe some lingering injury problems as well.

Dude broke the 3 point record and clearly can shoot the ball. He will be fine long term.

His upper body is bulky as well, and that's probably affecting his jumper, and he is not as quick as he once was. He stays in front of his man because he slides his feet well. But, like everyone else, he gets beat now and then.

Jimmy Butler....talk about a cancer to whatever team he has ever played on
Butler led the heat to NBA Finals in 2023. He was a monster in those playoffs.
Not sure what happened in Miami this season but the guy is a pure baller at money time.
Think he wants to win and maybe does not see it happening for Heat this year.

Kings on a roll now?
Long season allows for comebacks.

It seems that players in the locker room and management eventually get tired of his act. As you can see, in Minny and Philly they had a lot LESS patience.

Butler's 14 years in the NBA:

first 6 yrs in Chicago

1 yr & 10 games in Minny until he forced his way out

1 yr (55 games, to be exact) in Philly

the last 6 yrs in Miami (now he wants out)
