Kevin Huerter - QUESTIONABLE (shoulder)
Keegan Murray - QUESTIONABLE (ankle)
Domantas Sabonis - QUESTIONABLE (back)
Any time I've seen a player listed as "Questionable", they've played. At least, players from opposing teams LOL.You missed one!
Mike Brown - QUESTIONABLE (job security)
You are probably right. You missed one!
Mike Brown - QUESTIONABLE (job security)
If Sac misses the playoffs again this year, that would be almost a certainty. And maybe Monte McNair as well. You are probably right.
Kings have already given up 5 3's.not at the moment

On the other hand, Trey Lyles was also upgraded to questionable, per Sean Cunningham, and hasn't played. You were right.
Huerter, Domantas and Keegan have all played so far.
Kings lose to the Lakers 103-99. 3rd loss in a row AT HOME. Keegan with 10/4.
Vivek Ranadive' is not a happy camper right now. I've heard he's got a quick trigger when dealing with GM's and HC's.i don't get it.
i would imagine the Kings' owner is not too happy, either.
In the post-game, Fox said that it would be nice to enjoy playing again. To me, that comment suggests that there's a disconnect between the coaches and players. The players are not executing what the coaches tell them. Could Keegan be wanting out? Could very well be IMO.Maybe Keegan's baggin' it so he can get traded to the Blazers to play w/ his bro...
Kings lose another at home in "Kings Fashion" 122-95. Keegan with 10/4. Same numbers as the last game. The shocker is that DeMar had 2 points. Something very amiss with this team. Looking for something to give soon. Fourth loss at home in a row now.
Kings are now in 13th place in the Western Conference.incredible
I wouldn't categorize it as a "Start". They're 30 games into an 82 game season. They're getting booed now at home, with a 6-11 record there. The players and coaches are professionals. I don't think there will be panic from them. Now, the fanbase is another story. Many fans are calling for coaches and players to leave.Very surprising start for Kings.
Hope they don't panic.
Long season.

McNair traded Barnes, Mitchell, and Duarte to bring in DeMar. The results of that trade further weakened the bench. Remember that Rashawn Holmes and Terrence Davis were also let go after the 2022 season. The results of the King's pick in Devin Carter is still unknown, because he was drafted while injured. Not sure when he'll see the floor for the first time in his NBA career. Barnes seems to be doing well with San Antonio, and Davion seems to do well also with the Raptors. It seems like after getting a #3 seed in the Western Conference playoffs in 2023 they thought that with a little tweak here and a little tweak there that they would be on their way to more success and maybe a championship.
So much for that. LOL
This doesn't seem that long ago:
Keegan is in year 3. He needs to figure it out quick. DeMar's fit has been raised. He got off to a good start, but injured his back. It's been a struggle since. There needs to be a roster move. Not saying a trade (that will come soon enough, maybe before the trade deadline), but someone needs to go to the bench from the starting unit, and Mike needs to play Keon Ellis more. Those are just a few things of many issues. Not entirely sure it's a depth issue. Keegan also learning to handle being a true 2-way player. I think he'll figure it out but I also think he's prone to slow starts and needs more volume shooting to get in the groove.
There were many questions about how DeMar would fit into the style of play and so far it doesn't seem to be working well.
They have time to figure it out but sounds like there is a disconnect currently and very hard to put a finger on what it is. I watched the post game interviews with Huerter and Monk and they were very uncomfortable to watch.
This team needs to figure it out soon though. If they don't it will be very interesting to see what moves are made because of it. I don't think Keegan is going anywhere but I think he's being told to work on things quick because they desperately need their 3 point shooters to start performing well again.
You know how much I enjoy when Keegan plays well, and I'm happy he got his 5th double-double, but he scored 9 points in the first half. His last made basket for the 9 first half points came at 6:10 in the FIRST quarter. His last score came in the 3rd quarter when he made a layup with 2:55 left in the quarter. He did not score in the 4th quarter. If he had chipped in a few more points, who knows? Alex Len, who played in Domantas Sabonis' spot only had 4 points and 6 rebounds all game. Team is in big trouble. Kings have now lost 5 straight games at HOME. And if that wasn't enough, the schedule is going to get tougher soon. The Kings (13-18) choke and lose to Detroit (14-17) tonight at home, 114-113. After trailing 91-77 after 3 quarters, the Pistons outscore the Kings 37-22 in the 4th to win it.
Remember how bad the Pistons used to be? Just 2 seasons ago, the Pistons finished the regular season at 17-65 (.207), which was the 15th best (dead last) record in the East & 30th best (dead last) overall record in the entire NBA. The Kings finished the regular season at 48-34 (.585), which was the 3rd best record in the West & 7th best overall record in the entire NBA.
Keegan's stats tonight:
37 minutes (of 48 possible)
1-7 (14%) from three
3-4 (75%) from two
.........................................................
4-11 (36%) Overall Shooting
2-2 (100%) FTs
11 Points
12 Rebounds (2 offensive)
2 Assists
1 Steal
1 Block
