Hundreds feared dead in strike on Gaza hospital

If a majority of Americans elected a government with the avowed and written-into-the-law aim of either killing or kicking out every Mexican and Canadian in North America, then went across the border into those two countries and murdered, raped and kidnapped women and children from those two countries, I think I would understand it if those two countries then rained bombs down on Chicago, New York, LA, etc.

our citizens would have deserved it if after we invaded afghans and iraqis came in and blew up building because we re-elected W.

How many times is the world going to fall for this crap when Hamas intentionally fires rockets from schools, hospitals, basically anywhere that civilians are going to get killed when targeted by Israel?

Or are we going to pretend this is different?
This was part of the Hamas plan all along. Hamas committed despicable acts with the plan to use their own people as human shields to try and create horror for political gain.

Israel needs to keep pushing and end this shit once and for all.

At this point, it seems like a large number - if not a majority - on both the Palestinian and Israeli side are willing to go full genocide to "win."

I'm not going to try and parse out whose atrocities are "worse" in a situation like that. It's a fool's errand.

A pox on both their houses. Oh, and it's all over a different branch of the same Abrahamic religion and real estate. Just a lesson in human idiocy all around.
I definitely agree, especially the lesson in human idiocy part, but I do feel like the majority of Israelis have adopted that mindset more recently out of emotion. Similar to Americans’ reaction to 9/11.

Palestinians are bred to hate the Jewish culture and its people. It’s something they are taught as children. They don’t see Jews as humans. Of course, this isn’t everyone living in Palestine but it really does seem to be the majority.

I understand both side have grievances, but I just don’t know how one can’t support the side that has never been interested in a peaceful solution. Nothing will change unless the Palestinians change their entire mindset, which i don't expect to happen.

The sad thing is if they completely eliminated Hamas leadership, some group just as evil will fill the vacuum created.

If they are able to take out Hamas leadership somehow, they need to shore up their Gaza border defensively with soldiers so this never happens again.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said the hospital hit Tuesday has been attacked before. It was targeted days before Tuesday’s strike, the ministry said, to send a “message.”
The American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, a charitable group that raises money in the United States for al-Ahli Hospital, said Sunday that the hospital’s cancer treatment center was struck by “Israeli rocket fire.” The AFEDJ raises money for the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, which owns and operates the hospital.

I guess maybe. Good thing they didn't have the wherewithal I guess.

I guess if we are going with not caring who gets killed because of what their elected governing body does, thats fine., i dont want us to get on some moral high ground when we see people around the world say that the victims deserved it because of who our voters put in power (or what our military does at the direction of who our voters put in power) if another 9/11 type attack were to happen here.

It’s amazing how the news and many others were tripping all over themselves to condemn Israel for this and it most likely wasn’t even Israel based on what we know now.

A lot of liberals and news sources have disillusioned me since the attack on Israel. They’re no better than the MAGA nuts.

This liberal wants Israel to raise hell. **** the terror hot beds in the Middle East.

Also this 100% is a false flag by one of the Gaza terror groups to draw support in from the big players. It’s already happening.
Yep, exactly.

Twitter has become absolutely worthless for breaking news. The video is said to be from 2022. Who knows the truth.

I'm saying each side has their own reasons for being shitty to the other. It's a never ending cycle.
One side uses human shields because they know it will be deterant.

The other wouldn't even dream of doing so because they know it would be no deterent.

Israel doesn't have actors comparable to the terrorists of Hamas. Not equivalent.

It doesn't seem to be a deterrent to Israel. Have you seen images of Gaza? Israel has obliterated large parts of Gaza, killing thousands. This isn't meant to defend Hamas. They are pieces of shit, but I'm baffled that you can't also see the ruthlessness of the Israel's military as well.

People keep saying Palestinians voted for Hamas, but that was in 2006. Most Palestinians weren't born or were small children. Hasn't Netanyahu propped up Hamas for domestic political reasons more recently than Palestinians have voted for Hamas?
I keep seeing this brought up but I am not buying the narrative it's trying to paint.

The pushback on a two-state solution from the Palestinian side goes back generations. Yasser Arafat and the PA committed to negotiating an end to the conflict based on a two-state solution back in the early 90s and Hamas responded by bombing Israeli citizens in protest. A decade and many terrorist attacks later, the Palestinians elected that group to lead their people.

So are we supposed to believe that this new generation of Palestinians, who have rarely condemned Hamas or its actions, is somehow different and more open to peace talks than the people who raised them?

Again, this hatred is taught and it's taught at a young age - see the video of Palestinian children talking about how they are ready to stab, bomb, and kill Jews.

With that said, I do know there are plenty of Palestinians who don't support Hamas, and I hope those people and their families are able to escape Gaza and find safety before they are used as martyrs.

How would you suggest they fight an urban campaign against terrorist group/government that shields themselves behind civilian infrastructure?

I’m genuinely asking. Gaza is a nightmare to operate in. I can’t see any good way to fight Hamas.

What is your personal experience with Palestinians that led you to that belief?

Some of us have been telling you all this for quite some time now.

A Christian hospital, caring for Muslims, bombed by Jews or Muslims. What a time to be alive.

Israel had my heart felt sympathy after the Hamas attack. They now have committed worse atrocities and have me thinking Hamas and the Israeli gov't are all monsters.
Israel is claiming it’s a misfired rocket from the terrorists according to CNN.
