Can’t imagine any scenario with KF as head coach that energizes the fan base or gives Iowa any hope of competing in the new big 10 next year. Blow this thing up.

They should but Gary Barta gave Kirk all the power to come back due to the last contract extension he gave Kirk.

It's really unfortunate, this is a crucial time in CFB. Sad thing is with a 12 team playoff Iowa had a program that was able to compete for a spot but now the cupboard is pretty bare.

He’s in it for the record now. I can’t imagine he’ll stay after the inevitable disaster next year. He’ll get his 3-6 wins, get his record, and ride off into the sunset… if he has any self-respect.
It's so bad that even the halftime hosts are ripping Kirk a new one. Said it's painful to watch the offense, joking that Iowa has defenses and running backs, but shitty QBs and receivers, and the list goes on. They aren't afraid to call him out.
