All of this fear mongering, bigotry, and xenophobia is probably helping the Republicans. Their strategy to attack minorities certainly helped in 2014 after they refused to help the children of Central America. Attacking Muslims, today, is probably giving them a boost for 2016. It's sad that they've shit all over the Statue of Liberty for poll numbers, but I guess that's the way it goes. Well, played, GOP, well played.

It helps with the base. All in all I am excited about the Republican Party's plan to get whiter and older.

Of course your assertions are exaggerated.

I would say that the Dem's lack of sensitivity to National Security is hurting them also.

I think my assertions are pretty spot on. When the GOP says that the only refugees they will help are the Christians refugees, they most definitely are acting like bigots. Disappointing that this attitude gets support, but it does. But I'll admit that the GOP's hatred of Muslims is working. Well done, guys. This angle is paying off.

Did the GOP say that, or did a member of the GOP say that?

When the POTUS continues to minimize terrorism(ISIS is on the retreat) and terrorist organizations(JV Team; Paris was a "set back") it shows that the Dems are naïve to the dangers that threaten the American people and the citizens of our allies.

All a false sense of security costs is the blood of young men and women to be spilled in some far away sands, the loss of privacy, and increased creation of terror by both us and them.

And probably money too.

I hate to break it to you, but the entire world underestimated ISIS. If they hadn't, some other country would have taken them out before they even got their footing. The idea that the rise of ISIS was foreseeable isn't supported by much evidence.

As for who said that only Christians should be let in, both Cruz and Bush made this claim. Additionally, the owner of the right's main news source, Fox News, said it as well. And we can't forget other bigoted statements like Carson claiming that Muslims shouldn't be President. You can act like this isn't representational of the GOP, but it is.

Both parties are pretty good at fear mongering. Why do you think most voters freely admit that they do not vote for candidates because they like them, but fear the other parties candidate will ruin everything.

Actually the US military didn't underestimate ISIS. Obama just didn't heed their warnings.

He went down a path of predetermined foreign policy and this is the result.

Quit trying to make the most powerful man in the free world a victim.

You really make me wish I had a brick wall to hit my head against. I seriously don't know if you are auditioning to be a writer for a comic, you're completely delusional, or you really believe stuff like this. I know hack party leaders need to say crap like this on both sides, but someone simply doing this from their couch is really mind boggling.

Please supply proof of the military warning Obama about ISIS before they became such a headache.

Hence the term, "much." Were there some warning about ISIS? Yes. But were these warnings credible enough to do anything about? It doesn't appear so.

If it was foreseeable that ISIS would become so powerful, then why didn't the rest of the world do anything about it? France would have to have dropped the ball, Russia would have to have dropped the ball, The UK would have to have dropped the ball, and every other country that has been impacted by ISIS would have to have dropped the ball. There would have to have been an incredible amount of negligence on the part of the entire world for this argument to hold water.

Truth hurts, doesn't it? You're lying to yourself if you don't want to admit to how the right has responded to this crisis.

Here's another. Seems credible.

The left bending over backwards to love on obama and the muslim brotherhood is entertaining but it could soon get americans killed

His assertions are not exaggerated. As usual, he is simply wrong. Democrats are not concerned about national security if something will help them politically. In this case they are wrong about that but to them that's what everything is about. In addition they love to preen about their assumed superiority. There is a little of that here also

129 people were killed on Friday.

The Left had shrugged it off by Monday. Is that a good response?
Actually you have this entirely backwards. The right has shrugged it off by telling the victims that they won't do anything to help. The left is trying to make them refugees.

The Left will not do anything to stop the genocide in their homeland.

So far I've seen just a handful of people making the warnings. This doesn't proof a credible threat. Again, if it was so foreseeable, then how did the rest of the world miss it too? Are you telling me that all of Europe and the Middle East had completely different intelligence than the US?

If you're POTUS and you won't listen to your own military advisors, then who are you going to listen to?

We completely agree about lack of credible evidence.
signed,
The entire GWB administration

If you're POTUS and you won't listen to your own military advisors, then who are you going to listen to?
And this is why I say it wasn't foreseeable. If these advisors knew that ISIS was going to become this powerful, they wouldn't have made a general warning once or twice and left it at that. They would have made it their career mission to ring the bells over and over and over until they were either listened to, or fired. If you know with a high degree of certainty that a terrorist organization will rise and start devastating the entire world, then you simply don't stop at one meeting and say, "Hey, I did my part."

Yeah...they should probably hate all cops, soldiers, white people and unborn babies, like the Democrat Party does. That'll boost their numbers!

Pretty sad that you have to use generalized hyperbole to excuse the poor statements of at least two GOP candidates.
