Okay, fine. I would be extremely pleased if THIS GUY was selected as the running mate for "Team Dem." Reminds me of Admiral Stockdale.
He is a union guy and a Democrat Socialist...what did you expect him to say dummy?
He's the guy who changed the ACA behind locked doors with Obama. Every time they went into a room together, they came out and the bill was changed to help Unions. They shut the door and Trumka said, "Do this or I will tell everyone to vote against you." And Obama did it.

and how is that any different than the strangle-hold corporate America has on the POTUS , the Congress and our economy? Unions are just another player in America's politics.
I've seen him interviewed a couple of times in recent years. He's pretty sharp in that venue. As I said, not a great speaker, but the talking points were good.
Obviously Hillary would never pick him. She doesn't represent the Democratic Party of workers. But Bernie does.
When was the last time real labor made any impact or was even visible in presidential elections? It would send a strong message to workers and union members. The question is whether there are enough of them left to matter.
When they let one of those other guys write the bill for a sixth of our economy behind locked doors, you'll have a point.
You mean like the MedicAid Prescription bill? You mean like the military industrial complex who make "over budget" a common place term.....Like the corporations of America who have Congress write "personalized " tax breaks into the tax code? It's hundreds of these "little" things that has gotten us into such a financial mess.....and "crony trade regulations" that have put half of the nation's manufacturing jobs into the status of unemployed.
