Watching Hawkeye football the past four seasons, I would define what KF says is “complementary football” as “nonexistent/bonehead offense with total pussy coaching and an irreplaceable, infallible QB no matter how bad he is, and having absolutely no chance against high-quality opponents.” Mission accomplished, I guess.

Me? I’m kinda sick of it…

You're a doctor, right? I think I've gathered that from your prior posts. It honestly surprises me given your history of childish conduct around here that reeks of far less accomplished esteem. Or professionalism. Regardless, let me ask this: How do you expect for Iowa to compete against a roster built perfectly to the tune of twenty million dollars? It's not even about recruiting anymore, friend. The advantage is even more skewed. Teams like OSU dangle money and wait for proven fish in the college game to bite. And that's exactly what they have on the field.

You want Iowa to win, right? Well, if you're really a doctor, I suggest you start donating money. A lot of it. Welcome to liberal college football.

I hope you feel better. You should tell Vanderbilt that they’re not allowed to give Alabama all they can handle. They must not have gotten the memo. Like most doctors, I’m smart enough to know what shitty football looks like and everyone I know from my garbage man to my neurosurgeon friend are absolutely freaking sick of KF and his idea of football. Sorry that bothers you.

We don't have a $20 million dollar roster like OSU.

That's reality.

Seriously

Vanderbilt is taking it to Alabama.

It’s not that we all think Iowa should beat OSU , AL, etc

It’s that we can’t even stay on the same field.

How does Vanderbilt do it ?

Week after week, game after game we see competency across all teams in every conference and we make excuses or worse, we accept Kirk’s vision is the way

I mean, you don't argue well. That's the thing. Oh, boy. Vandy is giving Alabama a game. Awesome. Is it some sort of definitive statement? Has Iowa never upset highly ranked teams under Ferentz? How about you describe Kirk's career at Iowa vs. the other head coaches we've had. Is that worth a twirl? I think you're a pretender. I really do.

Your excuses are weak and paper thin. Nobody is pissed because we lost to OSU. We got demolished yet again. Maybe take your head out of KF’s ass once in a while. JFC dude.

Iowa has literally laid down and played dead against at least the last five elite opponents that I can think of. Kirk’s career as a whole has certainly been respectable, but not his team’s performance against the upper tier schools that Iowa fans had become accustomed to competing with. Iowa’s performance against ranked teams since the 2017 Ohio State miracle has been plain dismal, and that’s even counting wins against the 3 fake ID’s in 2021 (Ind, ISU, PSU). If you’re happy with the state of the program and their current National reputation, that’s fine; just don’t blame those of us who want and expect more from a 26 year gagillionaire head coach.

The money excuse is so lame. Ohio State has always had the best players. $20M doesn't make them any better than they otherwise would have been. This is about a KF team being completely embarrassed on the big stage yet again.

The NIL excuse is lame. People aren't complaining that we didn't win the NC...or that we aren't Alabama, Ohio State or Georgia. They just want to see an offense that looks respectable...serviceable...not embarrassing. There are plenty of teams that seem to be able to do that with no more (and often less) resources that Iowa has.

We had NIL money and threw a bunch of it at a broke dick QB.

It's not the money. It's the head coach's offensive philosophy...or more accurately...lack thereof.

Unfortunately usually these upsets seem to happen when a team has a fully functioning and mobile QB

Umm, yes it does! The cream of the transfer portal crop are all proven players. Many of them outstanding and from power conference teams. That's where the Ohio State teams of CFB step in. Will Howard...sort of a good example. OSU and other blue boods can give more money to these high caliber transfers than we could ever come up with. Wake up.

My only issue with this is that I don't think any team in the country right now stands a chance against OSU.

We habve been beaten by two undefeated and ranked opponents. When we drop one to anyone else on the schedule Im right there with you but willing to see a couple more games before deciding what we have.

And....we should have beaten ISU.
