One advantage the ladies had was a week off. Alot of tired legs out there today it looked like.
No excuses but I absolutely think it played a factor
You can be tired and still hustle. They were ball watching and standing around. Lots of passing and not enough movement. Not setting screens. And Fran did his best KF impression standing on the sideline (only missing chewing the gum). I miss the 90s where even when we lost we left it all on the court. Even the early 2000s with Alford was better than today. At least players like Dean O hustled.

I mean there’s the inevitable choice-root for Richmond to make it all the way or that they get a beat down on Saturday?

Here come the wimenz bball fans to set us straight.
I've been a fan of both teams for a long time. But I watch the women more often lately because the men disappoint losing games like today. The women typically beat teams they're supposed to and play the more talented teams close to the wire.

Clark and Monika will take over the game when it's on the line. Even when we lost to Michigan on the road Clark went nuts in the 4 quarter. The men's team played with way more energy against Purdue on Sunday. Today they just mailed it in.

The only problem is it's womens basketball.

Yeah the NCAA tournament loses it's appeal after Iowa does not make it or gets beat by a mediocre team. too often.

I’m done with mens basketball for this year. But if I was to watch I’d cheer for Texas Tech, pretty much the scrappiest team I’ve seen so far.

It's time to get behind the Iowa women. Hope they get a shot at South Carolina down the line.

I would say Creighton, but they are getting beat at the moment.
They pulled it off, and they're a good choice. They definitely have the discipline and good coaching to beat Kansas. I don't think any of their players were rage-tweeting this week, and their coach made adjustments when the game wasn't going so well. Might be hard for Iowa fans to understand...
