I side with...

Really not sure what to make of this, I always struggle with these hypothetical yes/no type questions. I suppose I could have used the scale to show importance to more refine the results..

Bernie 79%
Jeb 77%
Rand 77%
Hillary 75%
Cruz 68%
Trump 68%
You're going to be happy no matter what.

You're going to be happy no matter what.

Ha, glass 75% full! I'm suspecting I'm getting some matches from Bernie and Rand in certain social issues as well as foreign policy.

Maybe Jeb is from immigration, he's more pragmatic with regards to amnesty right?

Jeb is more pragmatic than Trump as I see it.

-Rubio at 89%
-Fiorina at 82%

-Jeb at 81%

.................................................

I found some of the categorizations interesting:

Right-Wing Libertarian
: Your political beliefs would be considered strongly Right-Wing and moderately Libertarian on an ideological scale, meaning you tend to support policies that promote free market capitalism and smaller government.

You side moderately towards “Anthropocentrism”, meaning you believe humankind is the central element of existence. This theme is most important to you.

You side moderately towards “Individualism”, meaning you support free market policies that create opportunity for personal liberty and success. This theme is most important to you.

You side moderately towards “Assimilation”, meaning you believe we should be a unified culture. This theme is more important to you.

You side strongly towards “Small Government”, meaning you strongly believe the government is overly bureaucratic, inefficient, and wasteful. This theme is most important to you.

I was 85% with Trump & Carson, 84% with Cruz, 81% with Rubio, 70's with the other Republicans, 61% with Clinton, 54% with Bernie, and like 42% with O'Malley

Do we all get the same questions? I don't recall GW even being on my survey.
Me thinks:
1) Your memory sucks or
2) You failed to hit the expand button to hit up all the questions under the categories so you didn't see it. I was surprised there was only the one though since it seems to be such a polarizing topic.

Wow, that is a very odd mix.

I ended up with

87% Paul
85% Cruz
81% Gentle Ben
80% Rubio

Bernie and Hillary were in the 55-60% range.

97% Clinton, 86% Sanders
56% Trump - highest of the GOP's

Interesting ....
So . . . you get the sort of the status quo/middle of the road candidate from each party.
Funny results for me.

79% Hillary
73% John Kasich
71% Bernie and O'Malley
68% Jeb!
66% Trump

A fairly centrist clustering. And fairly secular, too.

Just out of curiosity, did you expand the sections and answer the additional questions? Did you rate how important the issues were?

I did that and my affinity ratings ran from 98% (Bernie) down to 8% (might have been Santorum, but I didn't pay attention to the bottom dwellers).

IMO, people who end up with 80-90% or one side (R or D) and >20% on the other are just as big of a problem than anyone up there right now...

If you blindly look at your side and can't even imagine supporting something from the other you are the problem and really have no business discussing ANY issues. Just kindly leave that to the people who get that some compromise is the way its supposed to work and the only way it will work...

How can anyone "blindly look at your side" when the only clues given are actual issues?

You're basically saying, "anyone who strongly supports conservative or libertarian positions, or who strongly supports liberal or socialist positions" should STFU and stay away from the polling place. Only moderates deserve the right to vote.

Do I have that about right?

No, I'm saying that the 2 aren't mutually exclusive. You can have your core beliefs and take the position you want on them, but to totally discount the other side is foolhardy and doesn't help any way shape or form... especially if you take a position based solely on the "other side's" ideas are all bad.

The other side's ideas are not all bad. I believe Bernie is the only one openly calling for marijuana legalization. Even Rand Paul thinks drug courts are great and we should send pot smokers to mandatory rehab.

  1. Bernie 99%
  2. Hillary 96%
  3. O'Malley 82%
  4. Rand Paul 52%
  5. Kasich 44%
  6. Huckabee 23%
  7. Jeb 21%
  8. Jim Webb 20%
  9. Cruz 19%
  10. Christie 17%
  11. Rubio 12%
  12. Fiorina 7%
  13. Trump 7%
  14. Santorum 3%
  15. Carson 3%
I'm quite satisfied that I scored so low with most Republicans. And there's a reason why I'm caucusing for Bernie!

Solid!

Sounds like we think much alike..

Trump 91%
Jeb 87%
Rubio 85%
Cruz 83%
Carson 83%
Clinton 59%
Bernie 58%

That about where I was exactly only I didn't have Jeb as high as you. This actually is a good test.

Yes, I expanded all the choices, expanded to add more questions for each category, and also rated importance for each question.

I was labeled "centrist" in the final categorization.

Rubio - 93%
Carson - 90%
Trump - 90%
Santorum (!) - 88%
Cruz - 86%

Trump and Santorum make me want to vomit. Bernie and Hilary came in under 40%. I still have a month until the primaries here in the Norseland.

Trump 93%.........surprisingly Hillary and Bernie both 62%
