What was the name of the bar next to the Englert theater, late 80's, that was kind of a heavy metal bar. Long flight of stairs up to get in. Had dime draws a lot, etc.

I don't think so. Doesn't sound right.Originally posted by ICWestfan:
Woodfields?
That's probably the same place but was a different name late 80's/early 90's.Originally posted by ICWestfan:
Woodfields was right next door to the Englert, was "upstairs", and was basically a disco/dance/whatever club. It may have changed names but that's the bar I haunted in the late 70's/early 80's. See article enclosed - I may have been one of the 5 "17 y/o's" in that bar the night this happened...but then probably not...
Yeah, sorry. That's not it either.Originally posted by BondHawk:
Does your lack of response imply that you do not believe it to be Gunnerz either?
Woodfield's had changed it's name by and maybe ownership by the late 80s. In the late 70s/early 80s it was a meat market. I do believe fake I.D.s weren't looked at too closely. The music was rock to rock and roll. For disco (or "dance music") The Field House was the place to go.Originally posted by ICWestfan:

Gunnerz was basically right next door to the Brown Bottle and was more of a "live band" type of bar.Originally posted by BondHawk:
