If the government can prove that Khalil was in a campus group that endorsed or espoused Hamas’s atrocities against Israel, it should be able to deport him regardless of his LPR status. And if it can deport him, there are likely to be thousands of others who can be deported, too — and should be.

As has already been stated: They have to PROVE his actions in court.

They did NOT do this, and illegally kidnapped him w/o any due process.
He was NOT charged. He was NOT given a lawyer. He was NOT afforded any of his fundamental rights as a US citizen.


Were I the judge here, those are the points I'd focus on, before allowing the government to continue ANY of their case here.
And if they fumble ANY of it, permanently prevent them from any actions UNTIL they have followed every step, to the letter of the law. Drag them out on doing it as a penalty against doing it to someone else.

If he's guilty, he should go; but that cannot be done before he's been given his day in court.

Try proving that he himself did these things and we can talk again.
 
I saw something this afternoon that said his wife and his parents cannot even figure out where he is physically being held. Maybe that’s changed in the last couple hours. But this is ridiculously scary.
