I am talking to Lester today and asking what the number one thing holding our passing game back is. Then I am doing whatever I can to fix it. If Lester says we need to hit the portal, then we do. if it is a backup starting ok. If it is that one of the most experienced OL's in the B10 can not pass pro. Well then I think that is a coaching thing as well as a talent thing. Whatever it takes to be competitive next season.

Also, they fired Brian. Basically told KF that Brian had to hit an arbitrary number last year and if he couldn’t that he had to leave. Well, fast forward a new AD comes in and says, “Brian we appreciate what you’ve done here, but you will not be with us going forward after this season”. Didn’t even wait for the season to play out. Same type of language Kirk uses when players were dismissed from the program. Kinda bittersweet.
KF got KF’d by the new AD…….not only that, but it was his son. You bet your ass he isn’t walking away and leaving money on the table. That isn’t disillusioned, that’s business.

I don’t think he’s bitter because Brian wasn’t some mastermind OC. He’s mad because he wasn’t the one who made the final decision of Brian leaving. He basically got told what the deal was.
He didn't think BF was failing, that's why. They won 10 games one year so everything was fine.

I’m not necessarily arguing against your points. I would just say I’m more persuaded by the argument that KF stays to attain the career win record rather than he stays to add to his considerable wealth contention.

My point is Lester knows what it takes to have a good passing game and he can see more plainly and objectively what are the biggest things holding us back at this point. KF says you can't microwave things. So whatever it is, it's going to need to be addressed asap and we have 6 weeks until the portal opens. Might be nice to get some shopping around done early,...... because they always say the sooner they get here the better.
Nope; how Barta let KF elevate BF to OC in the first place was a huge screw up and showed his fear of Kirk. The OL was mediocre under BF and the promotions kept coming! This program screams socialism! lol
I know it's kind of looney but everyone's best bet to get KF out of here this year is to just email Beth Goetz. If Kirk wants to break Woody's record before retiring it is now likely to happen next year.
Can you imagine if KF would let Sullivan play? Iowa has some good wide receivers who do get open, but McNamara can't get them the ball. And Sullivan's ability to run and extend plays and utilize a moving pocket and RPO would be game changing.

What good QB or WR is going to come to this shit show of an offense? It doesn't matter what Lester knows as long as KFz holds the reins. Lester was hired in at the end of January. That discussion should have taken place at that time. But no...let's flush a whole season because "you can't microwave things". Yes, Kirk you can. Plenty of people make adjustments and shifts pretty quickly and it works.
