Imagine if we were hiring a new coach this year.

I am thanking my lucky stars that Kirk is the new Kirk and winning football games this year. Imagine if he struggled and we were all calling for a new coach. Here is a list of this year's vacancies already:

Virginia Tech, Maryland, South Carolina, USC, Illinois, Missouri, Miami, UCF, North Texas, Hawaii.

That is before the season is even over. I wouldn't be surprised if we add Georgia to the list. In addition, after the marquee jobs (USC, etc) fill their roles, that will probably create new openings.

It would be really tough to get the best coach this year.

I think several AAC schools are going to be getting some phone calls in a couple of months...
