I think Michigan wins this one at home. I sort of want IU to win just because they are going to lose several more games down the road. But I think Michigan is the better team. Thoughts on this matchup?

If LeVert can play, I say UM. He is running and practicing. But can he play...? Good time for IU to play them. In another week, and LeVert at full-steam , they lose @ UM for sure.

A lot depends on how Indiana shoots the ball. They go as their perimeter game goes. If they come out shooting it well, they can beat Michigan. If they're cold, the Hoosiers will get rocked.

Might sound crazy here but plugging CL back into the line up might not be a smooth process. ...some are saying Michigan has played better without him.

See: Valentine, Denzel.

It's always tough to return from an extended absence. The team has absorbed your minutes and role, and you have to both re-establish and get back into the flow.

Yep I don't know if LaVert coming back is the best thing. UM is playing pretty good ball lately.

I think this is a pretty evenly matched game, so I will go with UM because they are at home and have a MUCH better coach. I agree that LaVert returns could actually hurt the Wolves more than it helps them in the first couple of games.

It will be a very good thing for them come tourney time. There will be some growing pains, but it will be worth it.
Yeah I could have worded that better. If he's healthy, he should play because he needs to get ready for postseason. I just meant for the IU game, it may screw up their rhythm and cost them.

Yup, taking Michigan in this one. They have a lot of weapons, and they're playing in Crisler. An Indiana win might turn my head a bit, but as for now, they've proven nothing other than that they can handle the softer teams in the league. I'm sure they're a good team, but we don't really now HOW good.

Pulling for scUM in this one. I think they have more future losses upcoming.
Bigger game is this weekend. Need purdue to take one from the terps.

They have been playing better without him. I don't think he'll hurt them but I don't know how much he'll make them better. They don't have a problem scoring the basketball and that's his biggest strength. Their weaknesses are post defense and rebounding. Lavert doesn't really help them in those areas.

Ive seen people talk about feeling dirty for cheering for other BIG 10 teams.. Is there ANY big ten 10 team that most Iowa fans don't care about as far as a rooting interest goes..

No need to feel dirty for rooting for a team that if they win clears an easier path for Iowa.

I've been frankly surprised that Michigan has stayed in the race. I think the Hoosiers are hitting their stride while playing the lesser league lights and I think they will go into Ann Arbor and win this one as well.

Indiana looks like they are a real contender. I know they have the easier schedule but they're backing it up on the court..

25-0 run to end the half. Down by 21 - Bye-Bye Michigan. Might was well watch WVU and Iowa State...................
