Doubt he's on the list since he's not currently enrolled. Gable winning Gold helps but this is a college list and Spencer 3 titles make him #1 and Gable #2
For #4 (after Spencer Lee, Diakomihalis, Steveson), I figure it will be the most accomplished guy currently ranked #1 at his weight. That says Nick Lee to me.
Nick Lee is more accomplished than the real Lee? Nick Lee can't hold Spencer's jock in accomplishments.

I for one hope he comes back 100%. And because of the past injuries, I think other wrestlers in the weight class will have more confedence. The battles may be epic and I am looking forward to them. Good luck Spencer

Nobody could beat him 7-10 days out from his last tear, not sure why they’d have a better chance now.
Because Spencer isn't that good, it's always been his opponents lack of confidence that has made him look superior. PSU James has it figured out 🙄
I think maybe he is factoring in the Ivy's being back in this year. Glory and Vito IMO were #2 & #3 last year. Then add potentially Suriano and things should be considerably tougher this season.
I don’t think anyone has a chance to beat Spencer. Suriano, Fix, doesn’t matter.
That said, his competition will be better this year. 25 last year was 💩
Brayton Lee who young us 2-1 against and has a higher NCAA finish than comes in at 40
Most over rated wrestler in the NCAA IMO.
But he's the 2nd best wrestler on a bad team, so he has the optics of looking better than he is.
That’s typically reserved for an Oklahoma State or Missouri wrestler.
In respect to Missouri they are over seeded not overrated.
Wow, do I have to vehemently disagree with you here. He is pretty much, exactly the wrestler most thought he was going to be. Let's not forget he has wins over guys like Sasso and Teemer and simply hasn't lost to guys outside the top 6 or so, either of his 1st 2 seasons.
In 2020, he took 4th as a freshman at B1G's He was 25-6 going into NCAA's and was seeded 7th. His losses that year were Purinton 3-0, Lugo 4-1, 3-2, Sasso 4-2, Lewellan 8-3 and the weird DQ with Hoffman.
In a shortened 2021, he went 14-6, taking 3rd at B1G's. His losses were to Young 4-3OT, 3-2OT, Deakin 12-0, 8-0, Hidlay 11-2 and Carr 4-2OT.
You don't take top 4 at B1G's your first 2 seasons and take 5th as a 6th seed in your 1st NCAA appearance if you are the most overrated wrestler in the NCAA!
The most under appreciated guy in the Iowa room.
I like him and one of the highlights of last season was Waranov gutting out the win over Reenan, he also lost by 1 to eventual champ and came back for a solid 4th what the heck is not to like!
I agree that he is the most under-appreciated, but this is also entirely by his own doing.

He's good, but he could be great. Past few years everyone has been questioning his in-match tactics and his inability/ unwillingness to open up his offense. Hell, even a few days ago everyone was clamoring on about how he doesn't lift weights.
Yes he's an all-american and I'm damn happy he's a hawkeye. I cheer for him as hard as anyone else, but there's always the "what if" factor with Warner.

May be true, but for the record, I believe Nick Lee is/will be a 4 x all American. None too shabby I’d say.
Because there wasn't anybody great in that bracket, but he'll have to deal with Glory as well as possibly Arujau and Suriano this year. If he's not near 100%, he's got his hands full there. Still a favorite.
It’s fair to bring it up…Warner gets shit on but is 2/2 as an AA. Can he be frustrating? Sure. Does not consistently wrestle to the level of his talent but damnit if he hasn’t had some clutch moments.
So it’s fair to bring up Fist Full’s credentials? He was hardly shitting on Warner, and last I knew you didn’t have to be an AA to comment on a message board. Otherwise there would be no message board.

the comment was most underappreciated hawkeye. fist stated it was his own fault. i myself find it hard to be critical of someone who is way better than i ever was,i guess some of ya'll do not. and i do not need a cyclown to tell me what is and what is not relevant.

Let’s just say it so we all agree. Questioning Warner is fine. Questioning a posters credentials is dumb as it gets.
