I gave Iowa the benefit of the doubt in tonight's game. So, -1 for me. 15 wins total now is where I'm at.

Right now the hawks are only +1 from my prediction, Minny is playing some really good basketball right now so I think that game is going to be a hard tougher than I thought 2 months ago

Just a reminder, not all Q1 games are created equal--every Q1 game that Iowa has played has been "Q1A" including: #2 home & away, #9 away, #15 away, #19 away and #25 on a neutral. Compare that to Michigan & Maryland who got a Q1 win by beating Iowa in Carver. The fact that playing @ Purdue and @ Iowa are both Q1, fans should know that added context is helpful to look at these numbers.
I really thought the overseas trip was going to pay more dividends than it has.
And I agree with you; our schedule has been tougher than what most will give credit. But, at the same time, by "simply" winning these 4 winnable games, we'd be at 17-6, 9-3 (one game behind 1st place Purdue, which is at 10-2).

100% agree--especially since 3 of the 4 we were leading late in the 2nd half. Maddening that it feels like the team is so close to being much, much better and yet here we are.
The last time Purdue and Iowa went to a Final 4 was in 1980.

I put the bottom at 0-8 and the top at 4-4. Of the four games that they have been in the hunt, they have lost 3 ( Indiana, Maryland, and Penn State) and won 1 (OSU). Based on that history, 2–6 is the predicted outcome. They have played themselves off the bubble. Hopefully they can reverse that trend.
14 min left in game and I’m already counting it as a home loss to Minny

No Big Ten regular season titles since 1979. 2 Sweet Sixteens since 1989.
certainly looking like the hawks have a good chance to surpass my 15 win prediction, barring a total collapse

I would have to think 20 wins should certainly get them on the last 4 in list
that's big what-if though, getting 4 of 7 would be a tall order
I don't see a lot of wins left on the schedule and Fran's teams often are 1 and done in BTT.

We looked pretty good early, but they amped up defense in 2nd half and we were a chevelle with bald tires in a snowstorm. Just steamrolled down the stretch. The athleticism delta was on full display.

Not sure that gets them in the NIT since they base it off NET. 18 minimum to have a shot, even that is iffy.
Just gonna throw out a long standing beef I've had with Fran's teams.
It doesn't look like any of our guys hit the weight room. Getting out muscled for rebounds is a staple. I don't understand it, it always looks like boys against men. Consistently.

Even a subpar team can muster a quad 1 win. I think Iowa will somehow snag one out of the chances they have before the season ends.
