Iowa 98 Clowns 84.....

Be gone piss ants.

When you got no gas left in your tank, and no gas station ahead for miles and miles, some idiot is bound to say something like this. That game was only 3+ months ago, it was in Iowa City, and ISU was without one of their best players. Today ISU would beat Iowa by double digits on a neutral floor.

Always funny how people try using this argument when they have no argument.

I just wish Fran could get the Hawks to Saturday of the conference championship. How embarrassing is that in nine years of being the head coach, he hasn’t been able to do that and what’s worse, the AD gave him that huge raise and contract extension in the dead of night w/ no media announcement. Tells you everything you need to know about Iowa athletics. #firebarta.

I remember when the Big Ten tourney was actually a fun event for Iowa. Say what you will about Steve Alford, but he made the Big 10 tourney exciting while at Iowa. We won the title 2 times when he was here and played in the title game another year. Not bad considering Iowa hasn't won 2 games in the same Big 10 tourney since he left Iowa.

It really depends on what side of the state you are talking about.

The Des Moines area has changed a lot over the past 20 years. Iowa was the team in the metro, but it's pretty even and/or with ISU the edge currently.
Des Moines is still way Hawkeye. I always hear that there’s a few more Cyclone fans back there but I never see them in my frequent visits back there.

Who gives a shit right now? we get a 9 seed and they get a conference tourney title and hardware to show off to recruits. Oh and they did it by beating Kansas in the final. That would be like Iowa beating MSU in the final and you damn well that would be huge for Iowa basketball.
KU without their best 2 players,,,,,,

Lawson is their best player, then the big dude that has been most of the conference season.

Either way, I'd agree that KU isnt the same. They are basically playing with Lawson and a bunch of high level freshman.

All true.

And,

98 - 84 :)

Clowns do this every year we beat them. No matter the facts, they always have the better team, despite the loss. So all you can do is just point to the scoreboard. And watch them continue to justify their superiority in any way possible.

Living in the DSM metro, it's tough to not see the Cyclone fans.

Especially before the Iowa football game w/ flags and magnets all over their cars then when they lose, you never see them again. I laugh about it every year. ISU fans wear their fanmanship on their sleeve with a puffed up chest before the game, then disappear after the L and excuses why they lost yet again.

Just like Iowa fans are hoping Campbell gets a lifetime contract since he hasn't beaten or out-performed us once since he has been there.

This is a false coincidence, and you probably don't really hope Campbell stays. You know how good he is and it makes you scared deep down.

Hanging out on an Iowa board instead of ISU board when the selection show is about to start. LOL at Little Brother Syndrome at its finest!

Here’s the deal. This is the Hawkeye state. Most people in Iowa root for the Hawkeyes...that will never change.

Iowa could lose every game in every sport and ISU win championships in every sport, and Iowa is still > ISU. They are little brother....always have been, always will be.
LOL!! If it helps you sleep at night to think that, go ahead and dream big. It is simply not true.

The biggest ISU argument is most just don't care about a Dec game when there are so many more important games in the season and post season. The hawks have pulled the consistent "el foldo" at the end of the season from the Fran beat downs.

You are way more negative then I. Kudos.

He’s an Iowa St fan who pretends (well kind of) to be an Iowa fan. Look at his posts. He has never said anything remotely positive about Iowa teams. And he thinks that Trey Creamer got screwed because Ferentz only wants to start white walk-ons meanwhile Creamer is so good he is playing at mighty Georgia Southern.

I'm jealous of Hilton, and not afraid to admit it. Hilton environment/experience is much better than Carver-Hawkeye's. Hey Clones, can you please chant "Carver sucks! Ice cream, too!" over and over next year? Maybe Iowa AD will listen to you?!

While I think it's kind of silly to refer back to a game in mid-December, if ISU continues to turn to Iowa on the Twitter machine IMMEDIATELY after their game, then they deserve to be humbled. Few on Iowa's side think 'Oh, I should poke ISU, a member of the B12 conference, after winning a major bowl game'. Me, personally, forget about ISU after any h2h game but get the attacks back every single time ISU gets an edge anywhere.

That is little brother syndrome to me. They know & hate the fact that the majority of the state always has an eye on what Iowa does, regardless of which program they follow. Why can't people lock on to ISU like they do Iowa?
