Curious if anyone feels that is appropriate or conversely if laws should be enacted to prevent such actions by an attorney general.

Good for him. What I find inappropriate for an Attorney General is enabling the President of the United States to continue in his unconstitutional and illegal actions and maintaining that there are no legislative or judicial checks and balances on the power of the presidency, not to mention counseling potential witnesses to be in contempt of Congress.

Wait? Politicians shouldn't endorse other politicians? Or is it that non-fascist politicians shouldn't endorse other politicians?

Such expressions may be either verbal or demonstrative in the form of pictures, buttons, stickers, badges, pins, or posters. Employees’ rights to express their opinions on political matters in this form or manner shall not be restrained while on duty unless . . .

11—65.2(8A) Restrictions on political activity of employees. All employees are prohibited from:

In addition, if the Iowa Attorney General is getting federal funds, grants, etc., the Hatch Act applies.
