Not crying about anything. I’m simply defending those who aren’t here to defend themselves, and finding out a lot about who on this board is totally awesome.
The HMB white knight, they thank you for your dedicated service to admonish anyone who makes a joke about them. Without you defending them, I don't know how they would go on living a normal life.
C'mon man, a vast majority of football fans could give two shits about the band.
I’d concur that a minority of the fans in the stadium are big supporters that make sure they see their entire show, as well as performances between games. However, I think it’s one of those “don’t know what you got…” situations in which even those who don’t care all that much would miss it suddenly being gone from the unique college game day atmosphere, whether they’d be willing to admit it or not.

Haha, another band geek. In high school, some guys put a banana and a bologna sandwich in a guy's marching band tuba. Yummy results
The only scholarship directly associated with the marching band is the Golden Girl. She gets a full scholly. For the rest, it's just an extra class/activity. (1 credit hour) There's also a small stipend but it's not much. There may be music majors in the band who are on scholarship related to their major...but not specific to the Marching Band.

Gavin isn't country music, and frankly pretty solid. The kids still get the bowl trip and don't have to rehash a stale program, so....

In actually not as upset about the band’s performance being cut short as a lot of people are, but I chuckled at your calling a dude who once won a Grammy 10 years ago as “solid,” but the band’s halftime show, which they’ve done a total of twice and has been praised by Metallica themselves, is “stale.”

I didn’t say it wasn’t good, I just assumed it had been done at all the home games so therefore stale by virtue of being done a lot.
