Saw a pic of Banks Field on Twitter the other day. In addition to snow, ice deep enough that you couldn't tell there was turf underneath, so it's a long way from being playable. Given the way below normal temps being forecast for the first couple of weeks of March, I wouldn't be surprised if the UIC and Cal State games don't get played either.
I bet Iowa and Northridge would find an alternate location. We've done it under Heller a few times. Played UNO in Wichita and Cincy in Hoover,AL.
McDonald and Baumann on Friday, Judkins on Saturday. We will see if McDonald and Baumann can limit the walks. Baumann had the same control problems in high school.
Iowa has had chances against some pretty good OSU pitchers and we may not get it done it appears, but McDonald has a quality start.
Iowa falls 5-4 with two outs in the bottom 9th. Iowa led 4-3 going to then 9th.
Iowa outplayed Okie State IMO.
Iowa is now 4-4, easy to say we should be 6-2.
Unfortunately it looks like it’s gonna be a long year of blown leads and leaving runners on base.
Sad to say I agree, maybe they will figure it out by B1G season. Could be finally looking at our first rebuilding year under a Heller since year one.
Nice road win, but I can't help to think Iowa should have swept the DH today.
You’re right, should’ve swept. Gives ‘em the rare opportunity for the Series Sunday on A Saturday tomorrow.
That one win shot Iowa’s RPI up by 63 spots to 72, imagine what two would have done. Road wins like this are RPI gold.

Horrible base running by Elion and is barely safe. Not sure what he was doing.
I think he slipped coming off third on the tag and just couldn’t get his feet back under him. It was ugly!!
Impressive series win. Yes, Iowa could have a few more wins as there have been some close losses, but some of these 1-run wins could have been losses too. Iowa's bullpen struggled at times, but so did Okie State's. Key will be getting a bit more length out of the starters. Judkins has been very good, if he just walks fewer guys he can go deeper in games. Very impressive outing by McDonald. Iowa comes in and can't pitch it's No. 2 pitcher and wins 2 of 3 against a quality team like Okie State. These wins are huge for getting at-large bids.
