I realize UAB sucks, but a three game road sweep would look pretty nice on the resume

UAB's pitching stats coming into this game were pretty salty. Offensively their numbers are BAD.
I like that Iowa has come and taken care of business so far. A sweep would be big. Offensively Iowa still left too many on base for my liking. They really could have pounded them today. It was nice to see them finally get the hits to do so late in the game.
Pitching wise. Iowa worked out of some trouble in the 1st and then Schanuel hit a groove and had a nice game. A few hiccups in the 8th/9th, but I'll take giving up three runs in most games.
A sweep would be HUGE for RPI. Iowa's RPI has jumped 28 spots to 62 from the two road wins. UNLV is currently sitting at 13 in RPI and 10-1. Road wins, especially when they come against RPI's that high are gold in college baseball. This weekend and next weekend are HUGE. Even though it's early.

Here is a link to the conference standings, but they project results. Have the schedule with teams current RPI and such. The projected results are nuts this early as at one point it had Iowa losing every true road game. Purdue's RPI is #5 right now.

Iowa falls 4-0 to UAB today. Offensively Iowa just could not get anything going at all today. Cole McDonald did give Iowa a nice start going five innings and allowing one run. He worked out of a few jams. The real damage was done in the 6th inning. Kyle Shimp just didn't have it today in relief.
