"Iowa has no chance"

Feinbaum should have directions written on his forehead," open mouth, insert foot here". Half the time he has no idea what he's talking about. He predicted that Miles was absolutely gone at LSU. He had Baylor ranked as high as 2 or 3 and called them the best team in the Big 12. After Alabama got beat by Mississippi, he predicted the downfall of Saban and Alabama. As a college football expert he sucks.

So we will go from "No Chance" against Sparty in Indy, to ABSOLUTELY "No Chance" when we have to take on Alabama down in Dallas. Iowa has been proving these individuals wrong all year long and I really don't see that changing Saturday Night.

GO HAWKS!

He has been wrong before, I am praying he is wrong on this one. I wanted the Nebbie win so bad (beings I have family who are husker fans).

But now I want this win even more! to be in the final 4 would be unreal.

And if we lose, the chorus of "I told you so" will be raining down upon us for weeks and months to come.

ESPN is paying him to discount Iowa so that they get clicks from Iowa fans.

Agreed. The primary role of the "analysts" these days is to stir emotion and drive "views", "clicks" and the suchlike. Iowa may or may not win this weekend, but they have certainly earned their spot in the B10 championship game and I think they have a good shot to win that game.

I say don't let the punks on TV/radio rile you up so much...that's their job.

You know, if I was on Mich State or a fan, I'd be a little pissed at these talking heads giving Iowa this extra motivation. Don't get me wrong, I love it!!! You can't tell me the Hawks don't hear this and uses it every game. Kepp it up "experts".

I don't either to be honest. For some reason I'm just not worried about this game.

I'm not either.... these guys have shown time and again that under ANY amount of pressure that might be put on them by outside sources they remain unfazed and focused on their next objective... which this time happens to be Sparty and the B1G CCG. No game has really worried me all year once we got on this roll.. .and this game is just another one in that list.

I thought maybe the Nebraska game would shut these idiots up but they keep moving the goal posts. We beat the team that beat Michigan State, and, on their turf. If we lose to Michigan State, they will have Iowa exactly where they want um .. See?, told ya so! Iowa choked the first time they met real competition.

Yeah it is a bit of a "heads I win, tails you lose" scenario. The folks that call Iowa a "fraud" only have to be right once and have Iowa lose a game. Doesn't really matter much as Iowa has run the gauntlet so far. Not sure what the narrative will be should Iowa win. But I would sure like to find out.

Finebaum is the same idiot who said Oklahoma should have dumped Stoops years ago. He’s not exactly an expert on anything other than sucking up to Alabama fans. That’s what he’s been paid to do for decades.
He has a financial interest in the success of the SEC. His opinions on anything else should be ignored.

I just don't get it. (Well I do but it's bullpucky) of the 4 opponents we played . MSU 3-1 MOV 11.2.
IOWA 4-0 MOV 12.3
Yet they say Sparty is on a roll for blowing out pen state and beating Ohio state (they didn't show that day)
Let them talk us down....it's good....it's good....

Longer than that I am afraid. They will use the "Remember Iowa" card any time a team in future years comes out of nowhere and threatens to get a playoff spot over one of their anointed blue bloods.

Michigan State is a damn good program ,but to give the Hawks "no chance", you have to be high as hell.

Iowa wins over Neb, Michigan State loses. I know it had some to do with the refs but anything is possible. They are good, a top 5 team in the nation. But remember, we are supposed to be 7-5 right now. 12-0 baby! Prove 'em wrong.

this is why I wish all the fans would kick back and quit talking crap. Let us look at some real things here: iowa had a fairly easy schedule with no mich, mich st, and no osu. now we get to see what iowa does against msu. methinks it won't be pretty. but who knows?

next: 0-9 third down conversions in nebby game, struggled against Illinois, wisc, Minnesota, Nebraska, and maybe pitt. and Indiana.

We "struggled" against every team on our schedule then minus Northwestern and North Texas. There is only one thing you have to do though, and its win. Find a way to win, I don't care if its North Texas or Michigan State. I am not overly confident about this B1G CCG matchup, but come on, you have to give the Hawks some credit, crap schedule or not...

I'm thinking the big difference between the MSU & Iowa games against UN was Sparty played man defense in the secondary. This gives the receiver a 50/50 chance of catching an Armstrong Jr. heave. The Hawkeys game-planned & played zone. The percentages for success for UN went way down because of this. JMO.

oh yeah, they were great! the Minnesota game especially. I loved that game. and iowa can only play the schedule they were given. but in order for the people who are negative all over the nation to say, "see I told you so", there would have to be an argument first from iowa fans, I don't think there is much of one till the msu game, that's all. now, if they beat msu, the negative people around the nation shall see their own heads explode. but I truly do not think iowa will win, so talking crap in advance doesn't do much. talk crap after the win, if it happens. there should be relative silence until then, but not on this board, everyone is going nuts, they have good reason I guess, but let's see what msu does. I just was not as impressed with iowa this year and a lot of it has to do with the last 3-5 years. the sum of the whole of the parts.

Tommy A torched em through the air, I agree, but they also put up around 180 yards on the ground. It's possible. We will have to bring one hell of an effort on all sides of the ball, including Special Teams. Spartans will be fired up, hope the Hawks bring the same energy. If, somehow, the Hawks can find a little light somewhere through that Sparty D, then we can make some noise. Again, we are not cute, flashy, etc. but we win. This will be our toughest game of the year by far.

The thing that is getting me is seeing Hawk fans already throwing in the towel and calling it a loss. Have some faith fellas, we can compete with this team. I heard the same BS against Nebraska. Nebby was going to be the one to finish us off. Give 'em a chance boys. They might make you proud AGAIN.

ok I will certainly throw in the towel if iowa goes down 21-0 in the first qtr.!! you gotta deal

OP - OMG, who cares?

Fellow fans, let's talk about the game itself or players or schemes. I'm sick of threads about what so-and-so said or what so-and-so thinks. Let's get excited about the players and what actually matters.

{end of rant}

I find it interesting neither of the other 2 called him on the fact he's been picking against Iowa all year and came up wrong every time.

He's a talking head, folks. Don't let him get your gander up. We as fans do not need an affirmation from him to understand Iowa's got a pretty good football team this year.

FIFY

Well if you look at who we "struggled" with and cross them over with who MSU "struggled" with (and loss to won) then I would anticipate a close game......Vegas does too and them boys tend to know their sheet.

Iowa had no chance to be 12-0 but here we are.

THIS!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The whole season has been an anomaly. Why stop now? Keep on making the experts look stupid.

GO HAWKS!!
