I haven't been to an Iowa basketball game in 15 yrs, and was thinking of taking my boys to the Illinois game. What are my chances of picking up tickets outside the arena on game day, and how much should I expect to pay?

Earlier in the year there have been plenty. There have been less and less as the team has improved. You should still be able to get them, I would expect, though.

There are still seats available behind the student section if those interest you.

I wonder if the Illinois students took the rest of the tickets behind the other basket. Man I hate that.
Actually, I hope the Orange Krush does show up as it will be a pleasure to watch em squirm as the Hawks exact revenge on their sorry a$$ and put another nail in JG's coffin.....

Illini Nation is preparing to bury their coach John Groce
after this season's final game. He is a complete failure
and gave the team nothing to build on. At Illinois, the
March Madness will begin with the hiring of a new
men's basketball coach.

It might be difficult to get rid of Groce with the recruiting class they have coming in. IL likely to continue underachieving ways. So sad

Let's hope they keep Groce, he's had some success against us but I'd rather see him than someone good.

It looks like there are a couple hundred left at the ticket office left with nearly two weeks out, so this looks like it will probably be their first sellout of the season. But you can still get them as of now, and since you mentioned taking your kids, you can get theirs at the cheaper youth price if you go through the ticket office. So that would probably save you a little something compared to the street value.

I didn't see any "scalpers" yesterday. There were a few people trying to unload their extra tickets yesterday. Without the actual scalpers out, the ticket price on the street is higher.

I bought mine for $20 near mid court about 25 minutes to tip off. Another guy paid $30 (seller wanted $35), which were slightly better seats than mine.
