I thought it was the kind of game that gives women's basketball a bad name. Hawks clearly were better, deserved to win. Doyle is a load. But I, too, am surprised each team had 13 turnovers. I would have guessed it was more like 25 for ISU and 15 for Iowa. A lot of ISU's were really stupid, as were several of Iowa's.

Neither team is anywhere near as good as they have been in the past. But the season is young yet.

This is pretty accurate. It looked like a good high-level high school game for much of what I saw. Throwing passes to people who aren't looking or have left their spot (I get that it happens sometimes, but...), REALLY blatant travels that shouldn't happen at this level, not just silly but dumb passes, and a lot of other stuff that makes it look like they were both playing game #2 instead of being this far into the season. Both are solid teams with good strengths, but need to clean it up to make much of a dent in conference or March.

And the officiating was actually better than a LOT of the gals games I've seen. Still some head-scratchers, but better.

i said a good HIGH level high school game. It was a good win and they did what they had to do to get it but it wasn’t a pretty game aesthetically.
