I love the Pat McAfee kick segment on College Gameday. This one a little bit back reminds me of Iowa’s offense.
This Duke student (Brian Ferentz) is trying to make a 33 yard field goal (Iowa’s 25 points a game). His first kick for like 60k is really bad (Iowa’s offense in 2022). It’s so bad that they let him kick it again (Iowa’s offense in 2023) for 500k/1 million.
This Duke student (Brian) starts getting advice from the fans on what to do for his second kick, thinking he can make it.
Meanwhile Pat and Kirk Herbstreit (national media) can’t stop laughing and making fun of this Duke kid.
Everyone knows it’s going to be a disaster. And it is.
Pat yells during the segment, “That wouldn’t have been good from four yards let alone 33. I’ll give him ten more times.” (Like the rest of the big ten hoping this circus continues in Iowa City).
