Iowa Oregon state 7:30

The sloppy play of this team drives me crazy
I just want to reiterate this. It's not new so I should be used to it but the stark contrast from valuing possession between the men and women is frankly amazing.

Come on ladies, I've already watched the "blow the big lead in the last few minutes of the game" tonight. I don't need to see it again.

To be fair, the men have improved on that recently... Last year and this year early have been noticable

Oregon state playing their 6'9" post out on the perimeter has to go down as head scratchingly stupid.

Thought the post defense on Mitrovic and Beers was outstanding.

They combined for 9 points, 3 O boards and 7 turnovers.

18 assists to 9 turnovers is good numbers as well. Shooting quite wasn’t there, but the game really never felt like it was in danger of being lost.

Kyle, I have one question for you about the defense. Gabbie's guarding on the perimeter has always been good, but consistently this year she has been beat driving to the basket with the right side cleared out. Is that an adjustment she needs to make, or is a post player supposed to come over to help cut off the drive? She has been helpless chasing and it is usually an and-one.

Generally someone should slide over to help if they are there, but that just opens up their player for a pass. Gabbie has been getting steals, but she has been struggling with keep fast guards in front of her. Certiainly something that needs cleaned up.

I second this question. The help rotations on this have been so non-existent that I'm starting to think the players have been told not to help... which would be insane
