Yes, for a sophomore he has pretty decent overall stats and is, with the possible exception of Josh Dix, the headiest player on the squad...defensively he has made dozens of crafty plays this season....that said, Thelwell is a more complete point with his ability to get to the rim....

We let another mediocre team beat us on our home court
Oregon with no fast break points, and Iowa with 10 fast break points. Don't know if I've ever seen this before. PITP is telling.

I love the, Brock is a problem crowd, I guess you think Iowa plays good defense if you think brock is the problem.
A good defensive philosophy/team would take care of any of brock's defensive liabilities.
He makes some mistakes on offense from being too aggressive. Part of that is him trying hard in his limited time and part is him getting stuck with the ball at the end of clock because of our teams lack of athleticism. Who is going to break down a defense one on one?

He's played 2 years now & is basically a junior. But whatever class he's in, he is not a Big10 starter on any other team. These kids play 50-60 games per year with AAU and HS. Age at this point should not even be considered. He's on the floor & he needs to perform at the P4 level. And he's not.
Brock is absolutely a problem and would be fighting for minutes on a bad MVC team. He will probably have one more good game and iowa will beat a Nebraska on the road and Fran will tear up postgame like we just won a national title.
his defense is no more a problem than anyone else on this team yet he draws the ire because he gets backed down once in awhile.
Like it or not brock is an ok player, not great but ok. Go compare brocks stats to jordan bohannon's. They are very similar in 2 years to jordans 6.

Bohannon was a huge problem and a major reason why Iowa couldn’t do anything when the games mattered. Pairing him with Cmac when you had a lottery pick on the bench was a recipe for disaster.
