Doesn't have good Point guards or athletes that just go out and get buckets. Doesn't believe in building roster that can matchup up with different teams. Bittle would have eaten Freeman alive too....Iowa was terrible at rebounding/post defense before we lost Freeman for season. Needed a 7ft center on roster, not a Mulvey, though Mulvey would have matched up better than Dimbele.

I look at it this way.... Say we get another coach even for 15 years. Worst case the guy only gets 4 NCAA tourney wins ... We are no worse off than with Fran. I'm willing to take the risk at this point

yep, as long as there is perceived effort and the players get their NIL money and Fran gets paid. Pretty much a win regardless of the score
Plus, they're good character student athletes that play an exciting brand of basketball for a good family man who gets many upper division finishes.
