Iowa State

Classic trap game for OSU and CPR fighting to keep his job.
It's possible, not likely but possible.

In the no-defense conference, anything is possible. However... I wouldn't bet a thin dime that it happens.

Is this where we hope that ISU wins to boost our SOS?

If we believe this, we have to believe Minnesota is going to beat us. That's not what we want, so to answer your question….

No. IA St. CANNOT and WILL NOT beat OK St.

Doubtful. But Iowa State's 6 losses are to teams that are a combined 42-8. They might be a lot better than their 3-6 record, its hard to tell.

Edit: And throw out the Texas Tech loss, and their other 5 losses are to teams 40-3.

Oh god... now you just gave the Clone fans a reason to explain their putrid program. Thanks a bunch. On a related note, your opponents look better when you lose to them.

Yes, Iowa State is capable of beating OKlahoma State in Ames on Senior Day. Its not likely, but its not an impossible job for them.

I don't see any reason they can't outscore them in the second half, by a touchdown or two.

Sure, but not because ISU is any good, but because the B12 is weak and even their best teams suck!

You mean like Iowa State played Iowa ????

Tie game with less than 3 minutes to play.

What was the final? Or must we now stop games when and only when clone fans say so?

Hey this might just help isu not be as pathetic as they really are. Go back in history and count any and all games where isu ever led the game as a win . Win the second half and count it as a win. Win the last 5 mins in a blowout and count it as a win.

This may be the only way isu ever has a winning record as a program.

More buthurt from clone fans is required about right now.

YES!!!!!!!! For sure. You're talking about the Oklahoma State School for the Blind, right?

ISU can beat OSU, however it would take an unbelievable effort. If they can put a full 4 quarters in...it's possible.

Keep in mind we account for 9 of those wins and 0 of those losses.

For ISU to beat OSU would mean:

ISU's offense can move the ball (their RB is good) and their QB has had both good and bad games. If he can play like he did vs Texas they could hang in there.

Special Teams, ISU will need to make plays either blocking a punt or returning a kick/punt

Defensively just keep OSU in front of them and don't get burnt 1 on 1. TCU corners could not handle OSU's WR's.

ISU is a good team, they have played some good competition. I think if ISU can limit turnovers and play a perfect game on offense I think they can keep it close with the ability to win it late.

OSU hasn't played the toughest schedule, so who knows.

ISU 45
OSU 42

I think its a shoot-out in Ames

No matter what conference you play in, when you're at the top, it hurts your SOS because you have all the other teams losses and you can't play the top team. When you're at the bottom, your SOS looks awesome because everyone got Ws against you, and it's one less bottom feeder to weigh you down. Iowa will play 11 Power 5 teams during the regular season. Oklahoma State and Baylor will play 9, and one of them is Kansas. Herbie was right, the committee is not going to set the precedent that scheduling a bunch of daisies in your non conference is acceptable for a team that is competing for a National Championship.

Are they having a good week of practice?
I got some "inside information" that they were in fact having a good week of practice. I was going to post it yesterday but I was in a mountain cabin and didn't have good cell service.
