I feel sorry for Cyclone fans and will not rub it in.Life is good; Moo U is getting curb stomped, worse than any Rose Bowl dud. I have a brisket on the smoker, and plenty of good Christmas beer. This day can't get much better.
I'll never understand that.there’s a bunch of guys on here who are ashamed of their schools and hang out here with iowa usernames. hilarious
I thought your boys would at least show up today. Didn’t expect them to drop trou & bend over like that before halftime! 🤣 🤡
it does seem pathetic but perhaps they harbor delusions of being elite covert operatives carrying out missions deep inside enemy territoryI'll never understand that.
Didn’t think you’d be up for it! 😉 ASU winning is good for me. Means I get to see a first round college playoff game in person most likely now.A real Hawk fan wouldn’t have their panties in a bunch about the Clowns getting a$$ pounded today. I mean, damn…..they couldn’t even make it a game today!!
Disagree wholeheartedly. The thing about ISU is they’ve always been so far below us football wise for so long, that they really don’t bother me. And Iowa men’s basketball has been so far behind ISU in that same time frame (since say 2000) that’s it not really a rivalry either. Don’t really give them much thought, but pull for them to do well, just like UNI and Drake. Maybe it’s just fun to push people’s buttons that hate ISU people so much, not saying that’s you. They are probably the same people that swear allegiance to Kirk and Brian Ferentz.Been an Iowa fan for well over 60 years, will always pull for Iowa teams but will never , ever pull for ISU, all sports, men and women. I feel strongly you are not a true Iowa fan if you ever root for ISU.
Penn State?Yeah, Do you think Iowa would go undefeated in the B12, I don't think so. The B10 has a lot of dead weight in football, take out Ohio State, Oregon, and Michigan they are no better than anyone else. By the way, the weak ISU did beat Iowa this year. I think someone is butthurt because ISU won 10 games is going to their championship game with a shot of a playoff birth.
Sir, this might be a little harsh…but I like it!Been an Iowa fan for well over 60 years, will always pull for Iowa teams but will never , ever pull for ISU, all sports, men and women. I feel strongly you are not a true Iowa fan if you ever root for ISU.
Remember that time you came on here puffing your little Clown chest….only to see your boys get curb-stomped by a team outside the top 10?!Congrats to the Iowa State Cyclones on winning ten games, getting good quarterback play, being co-conference regular season champions, and possibly playing in the Big 12 title game! What a special season.
Iowa has INFAMOUSLY had some of the weakest schedule in college football this past decade...and I guess we'll see who is and is not mediocre. Laugh away while you're at home watching the College playoffs...with Iowa State battling for the national championship IN the playoffs.
“had a horseshoe up their ass”? Quite illusory.Bahahahahaha
These idiots got blasted by Texas Tech and KU and they legitimately thought they were playoff worthy and not only worthy but could go on a run, just the dumbest fan base in all of college football.
Despite Iowa having played in the west - they still had to face blue blood programs. Not to mention they beat a highly ranked Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State while they played in the west. You guys NEVER have to play any blue blood programs ever. The Big 12 will never come close to winning a NC, he’ll they couldn’t even win one under the four team playoff format when they had OU and Texas.
Just be thankful Kirk gifted your program a (pathetic) 10 win season for the first time in program history and you dodged all the top teams in the conference to even make the title game. Iowa State had a horseshoe up their ass this season much like their Covid year and I look forward to them coming crashing back down to reality next season.
Iowa State will be fine. Anything they are are subjected to, so will their competition. They are in a good place to compete for championships and playoff appearances annually and that will help with their recruiting.
Let me guess. You are a tavern hawk. I thought so!Remember that time you came on here puffing your little Clown chest….only to see your boys get curb-stomped by a team outside the top 10?!
I do & it was f’en glorious!!!!! 🤣 🤡
I never understood the tavern hawk thing. Wouldn't a school want the folks who didn't go to college to be their fans? Especially in a state with no pro sports. I mean you are an agricultural land grant school literally in the middle of a cornfield. The tavern hawk thing seems sorta like you have some sort of delusion you are a blue blood and only allow ISU graduates to be fans.Let me guess. You are a tavern hawk. I thought so!
You should also add USC and Washington to the list. They have deep pockets alsoOver the next 20 years, Iowa will never make the conference championship, as most teams in the Big 10 won't. When you have PSU, OSU, UM, Oregon at the top, the rest of your conference is pretty much screwed. It will be rare that the championship teams will not be in that group.
There will be a day when Kirk retires and a new fan favorite is hired. When the Hawks flounder, I'll smile thinking about all the posters who called for Kirk's head. I have been fortunate to have watched a lot of great wins under Kirk and Hayden. Expansion of the conference, NIL, 105 schollies and profit sharing will be the end of college football. I have become more disinterested in the CFP every year. The nightmare would be over.
A tavern hawk is the jacka$$ who’s on an Iowa fball board bragging about the Clowns….just before they get embarrassed by an average team.Let me guess. You are a tavern hawk. I thought so!
So I can pick that apart. You aren’t your “family.” Still think “I” have had season tickets longer than “you” have been alive. Somehow I don’t think you are going to refute this. Hell, my “family” has had season tickets since pre-WW II for football. We gave up basketball in 2002 for obvious reasons.A tavern hawk is the jacka$$ who’s on an Iowa fball board bragging about the Clowns….just before they get embarrassed by an average team.
I’m a Real fan…..Hawk grad as were my parents & siblings. Regarding your stupid bet, my family has continually had season tix to fball & men’s b-ball since the 70’s. You can donate my winnings to SWARM…..peace out b!tch!!
You’ll smile should the Hawks flounder under new leadership which is inevitable? Yeah, real fan you are. lolThere will be a day when Kirk retires and a new fan favorite is hired. Exactly true!Been an Iowa fan for well over 60 years, will always pull for Iowa teams but will never , ever pull for ISU, all sports, men and women. I feel strongly you are not a true Iowa fan if you ever root for ISU.

So….what time is ISU’s playoff game where they will be “battling” for the national championship?Iowa has INFAMOUSLY had some of the weakest schedule in college football this past decade...and I guess we'll see who is and is not mediocre. Laugh away while you're at home watching the College playoffs...with Iowa State battling for the national championship IN the playoffs.
I call huge bs on your preWWII tix!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 What a f’en poser. And I am my family because I’ve taken over those exact same seats. So I can pick that apart. This was exactly the answer I was hoping for. Like almost word for word! Your age, or lack of it, is readily apparent. I’d say late 20’s or 30s. You have no idea what happened to Iowa basketball in 2002 because you didn’t pay attention and now you’ll frantically google to try and figure out what I’m talking about.I call huge bs on your preWWII tix!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 What a f’en poser. Glad to know you’re a fair-weather fan though by bailing on men’s b-ball. Or maybe it was getting hard paying for those plus rent on your double-wide?
Way off…..graduated Iowa in 90’s. Since you’ve just doubled down your bs, I’ll go ahead & claim to be Nile’s secret love child. This was exactly the answer I was hoping for. Like almost word for word! And as far as pre-WWII you can just check out the Ironmen Notre Dame Sculpture at Kinnick in the south endzone. I won’t tell you which one is a family member because you probably don’t even know what I’m talking about!
Damn. So you weren’t even an Iowa fan growing up?!? That’s pretty strange. Then you should know about Iowa basketball in 2002 as well!!!!Way off…..graduated Iowa in 90’s. Since you’ve just doubled down your bs, I’ll go ahead & claim to be Nile’s secret love child.
Judging by everyone laughing at your posts, looks like it’s not just me knows you’re full of sh!t.
While true, at least Iowa had to actually beat a good team to win it every time. Think about all the teams we lost to and compare them to what ISU lost to this year (COVID year doesn't count). ASU isn't bad but they're just an above average team in the grand scheme of things. Probably the best representative from the B12 but that really isn't saying much.
I love the clown nickname "Tavern Hawk" made up by a fanbase that doesn't have fans outside of Story and Boone county and can't comprehend that: A.) People can be fans of a team at a school they didn't attend. B.) The Iowa Hawkeyes always have been and always will be this State's team.Let me guess. You are a tavern hawk. I thought so!
There is no better example of clone idiocy. It's an open admission that Iowa is a far more popular team.I love the clown nickname "Tavern Hawk" made up by a fanbase that doesn't have fans outside of Story and Boone county and can't comprehend that: A.) Why are you losers showing up on a Hawkeye site again?I'm pretty sure that Linn County has a large number of ISU grads. Not sure how it compares to Story County, or Polk County, but it is a significant number. Something to do with Collins Avionics.
The only people here in CR who are rude and stupid about the CyHawk rivalry ARE Tavern Hoks. It's fine when UI grads give me a little good-natured shit. It's part of the rivalry which makes it fun.
It's those people who will randomly give me crap in public when (like today) they make a smart ass comment like "Go Sun Devils" or "Your team sucked yesterday". No kidding dipshit. I watched the game too.
I don't give those people the time of day but when someone I know makes a "ISU sucks" type comment, I ask them why. Give me a reason. Have you ever been to Iowa State's campus? Do you know anything about the University other than their football team was horrible during the 80's and 90's. These are the people who drive me nuts.
All fan bases have their fair share of dipshits, ISU included. You cheer for your team, and I'll cheer for mine. No need to be an ass about it.
Good luck to both teams in their bowl games, and I hope for two good basketball games this week. Both games will be interesting. I expect Iowa women to win, and expect Iowa men to shoot about 90% from 3. 😀
