Congrats to Iowa State

Might have a difficult time finding a P4 program that has been as bad at QB as Iowa in the past several years.

Truly hard to comprehend.
It doesn’t exist. Kirk is a clown when it comes to anything offense. It’s criminal we are stuck with this fvcking dinosaur.

Honest question. Why is ISU able to find + develop better QBs than Iowa?

Becht and Purdy alone are better than anyone from Iowa not named Brad Banks. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Is it Iowa's conservative offensive philosophy? Every team + coach says they like to run the ball - certainly need a solid running game to set up the pass Is Iowa TOO conservative, relying on a strong D and solid special teams to win?

If ISU can find a Rocco Becht (good but certainly not great) so should Iowa.

Again, a honest question.

Best of luck tomorrow vs Mizzou. I'm no Hawk fan, but will certainly pull for them vs any SEC team.

Agree, 100%.

Miami is so undisciplined. It was an entertaining game, tho, and the type of game I'd rather view than a 13-10 Iowa snoozefest.
Does winning the game enter into your formula for " entertainment"?

Or is winning now secondary to scoring for you?

Just wondering...

If I'm a paying customer with a tix...number 1 is entertainment.

Next question.

Beathard and Stanzi were good, but Iowa is pretty much the chicago bears of college football when it comes to QB play

Long and Vlasic disagree.

He was referring to trailing late and needing a score at the end to win. They got the ball on their own 22 with 33 seconds left and no time outs. ESPN Gamecast had Iowa at a 90% chance to win at that point.
Such an embarrassing loss. Should’ve won that game by 3 scores.

Next year will mark 40 years of season tickets. We still make the nine hour drive to see our Hawks. Attended my first game in 1964. Yes, I'm a Hawk fan!

I said, I'd smile thinking about the Kirk Ferentz bashers after he leaves. It will be difficult to maintain Kirk and staff's abilty to develop players and have stability in the program. When Kirk retires we plan to give up our season tickets. Hope Hawks can keep their winning ways, just not that confident.
"Stability in the program"? Iowa has played eight ranked teams since the 2021 Penn State win and lost all eight games. If that is the kind of stability that keeps you buying season tickets, then maybe it's time you give them up.
