Iowa vs. K-State in Kansas City?

Been there done that. Hot hot hot.

Would be good to do again. Iowa has made inroads in Missouri and would be good to play a game this direction. KC just up I-35 for the Dallas-area guys.

Game would need to be at night to play in early September. The 2000 game was hottest game ever been at.

Nope. Too hot. Unless they play in STL dome.

What a bunch of whiners. So one year it was unseasonably hot. How do you think the Chiefs sellout every game? Hot is not the deal breaker. Perhaps K State isn't quite the comparable we are looking for however.

Sounds like Iowa may not schedule more P5 games as long as ISU is on the schedule and play a 9 game conference schedule. Don't want to give up 2 so called easy home games vs lower tier teams which won't be FCS teams after those already scheduled are done.

The Eddie Robinson Classic game was in late August I believe and it is by far the hottest Iowa game I have been too. Not even close. I remember wearing by Ladell Betts home jersey to the game and that lasted all of 5 minutes before I was just in a white t-shirt.

When the pass bounced off Kasper's helmet / face mask, I shook my head and about puked in that heat.

Those days are gone. We won't be giving up home games for a neutral site game for the foreseeable future.

Yeah but Arkansas is not a KC team. It would need to be KState, Missouri or Kansas

But that's exactly the point. Why play a "KC" team in KC? Unless it's a road game and they come to Kinnick the next year, why in the hell would we want to do that?

Arkansas would make for a true neutral site game.

Huh. Are you serious?

The same way LSU is playing Wisconsin in Green Bay. Why in the hell would you want to do that?

Why is this so hard for you to figure out?

Wisconsin played at the Superdome in New Orleans last year against LSU. That was an away game. This year they play a home game in Green Bay against LSU.

If we were to play what amounts to an away game against KSU, Kansas, or Missouri in Arrowhead, where do you propose our home game is played the next year, Drake Stadium? It's a rhetorical question.

That's why Arkansas makes sense.

Tailgating in that parking lot is BRUTAL in the summer. We went to a Royals game and tailgated from I want to say 3-6 and our plastic chairs had melted and stuck to the asphalt.
