Iowa vs Ohio State Predictions

Funny how that works. Feldman is exactly the type guy he needs to beat to make the podium and BK has a lot he can improve on in the next 6 weeks. I would be shocked to see him lose to the Illini heavy at BG10s if they meet. Ben has a ton of upside and no downside currently.
I agree. Ben has a brutal schedule coming up. Out of his last 6 opponents he gets #1 Steveson, #2 Kerkvliet, #3 Hendrickson, #12 Nevills, #21 Andrews and then some Northwestern dude. :) He definitely needs to take care of the last 3 to get a decent seed for Big 10's and Nationals.

I have no dog in the fight other than being a Hawkeye fan and competed past high-school. Worked out in the wrestling room at Iowa with friends. Ben beats the guy who got 5th last year and there's there is little talk about it.

Exactly. Gable is an all-timer. Kerk and Hendrickson are absolute monsters. 285 has got to be the most talented group ever this year imo. If BK can make the podium as a freshman with his extremely limited mat time in college so far and the talent at 285 this year as seniors then the sky is the limit going forward if (big if) he focuses on wrestling. Patience is a virtue.

In his interview he said it was his first live go since the injury and needs to get back into shape.
I didn’t see the interview cuz I was in carver but you’re telling me that he said he wasn’t in shape, yet absolutely threw Sasso off of him and into the trash at the end of the match?

To have that much strength while being gassed, Jacori, my friends, is a bad man.

I love his confidence. Absolutely chews up the scene with his walk in and post match exit. He’s having f** as a Hawk.

Are you laughing out loud because you don't think he has an arm injury?
I don't think a "minor arm injury" would keep him out if it were critical for him to go. I don't doubt there might be something minor wrong, but the decision to go with Hernandez was more likely voluntary than forced by the injury.

Maybe it was precautionary and Tom didn't think they needed Drake to win? Both seem to be a wise choice to me.

you don’t see guys of sasso’s caliber get their head bounced off the mat on a double like that very often. beautiful double
Sasso is a fringe NQ this year. Like, will struggle to be top 7 at B1Gs (I’d expect him to lose to Teemer, Kasak, Taylor, Trumbley, Blaze, Askey). Will very much depend on the bracket, how many are allocated and he might have to steal one. He’s got Saldate, Askey, Garvick and Kasak as his next four matches. He’ll be doing well to win two of those.

He got shot, lost a year, and his comeback is amazing but he’s not the same guy. He’s also lost to Joey Blaze and Jackson Arrington since coming down to 157.

Seems more like a seed protection thing. Bouzakis losing to Ayala is bad for his seeding, so Ryan pulled him and put Davino in. But Ayala losing to Davino, who is better than Bouzakis, is bad for Ayala, so we end up with an exhibition match instead. All teams do it occasionally, but it sucks when you get something like that tonight instead of Bouzakis vs Ayala.

Hate watching Sammy look this way. Him being out there and competing is a miracle. Hope he can make the NCAA tournament and get a nice standing ovation from the crowd.

Ayala losing to Davino who wouldn't be in the field wouldn't hurt Ayala seed. If you think Ayala sat while healthy you obviously don't know anything about Drake

We'll see. He has a chance to make a statement against Davis on Friday. If he's still out, I'll believe he's injured. If he looks like nothing was ever wrong, I stand by it. It's not Ayala making these decisions.

All that was just for seed protection? You fool.
Did you get that idea from Mineo's Facebook group?

Well it leaked last night he was hurt and sitting and that was before Iowa knew who Ohio st would send at 133. So ....

Drake has earned the right for Hawk fans not to question his ticker or Brands willingness to put him out there in tough spots. He wrestled his true freshman year with a bum shoulder to take one for the team when SL had his surgeries. But you’re a PSU fan on our site questioning our guy’s heart.

Ftr, Davino is good but he’s not duckable good.

Oh. 😂 Honest to god I thought you were joking because there’s no way a functional adult could be that stupid.

I guess I was wrong. 😂

Kharchla is wrestling on 2 good ACL's for the first time in his college career. I would cut Kennedy some slack. Last time Kharchla had 2 good ACL's he nearly tech'd Mekhi Lewis before he even started college.
I distinctly remember him getting his hand raised vs a healthy, top ranked Bull, when the Buckeye was just a freshman. Kharchla is and has been a beast for awhile, and looks really strong up at 174.

And that was on 1 ACL....he never got it repaired until last year.
