Iowa WBB Class of 2026 Recruiting Thread

Are we thinking we are close to signing someone better than her, or are we not thinking she's a match for Iowa WBB?
I would say they probably have others rated above her they are more interested in. We have no idea what Bjorn, Byles, or Crittendon are telling the staff.
Byles is almost certainly Texas bound. Sure sounds like Bjorn is enamoured with Texas also. Crittendon recently visited so we may have a better chance with her.
I don't believe Crittendon visited, it was Bell.
They both visited. The other one wasn’t reported here, it was on another board, but then the topic carried over here.
Welp shut me up then. I was confused before, thought I figured it out, am more confused now.
ETA: I think I'm caught up now. You're saying JEDN was likely misinformed. There was only one visit, it was Bell, not Crittenden. Crittenden has not visited, according to Kyle. If so, got it.

Just replying on what i have read. Some of the confusion might stem from the 2 girls having the same looks in my opinion.

FWIW-the below exchange was on the Gopher site (gopherhole.com). The responding poster, bball_craz_31, has been pretty knowledgeable over time about Minnesota prep/AAU WBB. Thought it was interesting. Kussow has kept her recruitment very quiet. Ranked # 15 in latest HoopGurlz update.

Hadn't heard Kussow's name before. Another solid Wisconsin recruit who can score.
I imagine she probably knows Mallegni and/or Stremlow. Perhaps a nice plus in Iowa's favor.
Everyone would probably love for them to pull recruits nationally however the core of this program will likely continue to be midwest kids
Which is fine overall. Some really good talent these days in the midwest especially on the girls side. Happy to see Iowa getting a foothold on the left coast, but all things being equal, if the talent level was fairly even I think that players from Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the Dakotas, are going to be pretty comfortable spending their 4 years in Iowa City.
When Emilia Krstevski visited for the crossover at Kinnick was it an official visit? A lot of midwest BIG schools have offered. What are Iowa's chances?
Probably not great IMO. She is friends with/a big fan of Addie Deal tho. Similar situation to Trinity Jones tbh — probably not a match made in heaven but she is good friends with Aaliyah Guyton….so we at least have those connections in our corner.
Two Next-to-Meaningless updates to report:
- Noticed an uptick in Likes from Greenway on Iowa WBB content lately.
- Greenway and Trinity Jones have both Liked “Come to Iowa” type replies in posts about them.

Seems like Kussow might be a welcome player, but we really do need more headway with with players with some size. Another big post, a 6"3'ish PF, and a 6'1, 6'2 athletic wing. We seem to have a plethora of guards under 6ft, both on the squad, and in recruit. Looks like Mallegni is actually around 5'11", not the 6'1" listed. Fandel, i.e. may be a couple inches shorter than advertised.
Unless Libby has grown recently I'd say 5'10 is accurate. Not sure what AIA has her listed at. She's definitely under 6'
