Iowa WBB Class of 2026 Recruiting Thread

Does anyone have a full list or link to the '26 Iowa offers on the table?
A lot of good players in the mix, some that seemed like pretty good possibilities.

*Imagine the Hays commit might effect the recruitment of the California center Krstevski, but idk.

For some reason that don’t look like Addie Deal. Correct me if I’m wrong. If it is indeed her, she died her hair, pictures I’ve seen she had black hair.🤔
It’s her.. she has pictures on instagram where you can see she has blonde highlights mixed in. Probably just put more in so it’s more noticeable.

SIAP I don’t recall hearing what changed her mind about Iowa interest.

Nothings been said publicly at this point. I posted here during last season that our recruiting for the 25-26 classes was very guard heavy, and we would really need to start zeroing in on some post players and forward/wings given our near future losses. Look at the visitors this weekend. Hays the post and two top notch forwards. Right in line with our needs. I'm not saying that we wouldn't take MG if we could work it out, but she may have waited to long to consider Iowa seriously. We may have room for one 1/2 guard. MG at 5'8" would certainly be a point or 2 guard.

Any change with Greenway, @hawkbuck70?
Nothing encouraging on my end to report on Greenway. My last intel remains that Iowa is not her choice. I heard she was very high on Duke, but that certainly could have changed. Got to hand it to Jan and staff. They have been very confident that they would land another '25 and they did. It's important that Lucy Olsen has a big year on the court. From all reports, it appears she has certainly fit in with the team and is exercising her leadership. As much as we enjoy the recruiting talk, the portal is important in remaining prominent on a national level. Lucy's experience and results can go a long ways in keeping Iowa in the conversation for future transfers.

Lucy is the bridge to continue elite play. If she bring a lot of leadership and experience that we lost, we can show we are just as successful under Jan as we were under Bluder. Its hard for me to pinpoint what I wound consider is a successful season right now.

I think another Sweet Sixteen should be the target. Depending on the regular season and BTT I could also see a second round loss still be considered a success.

Frankly I think Iowa is being underrated nationally and in the Big Ten. That's understandable given what Iowa lost, but also why pre-season rankings aren't worth much. I think Iowa's top three of Olsen-Stuelke-Affolter is as good or better than the top 3 of most teams in the Big Ten (excluding USC, UCLA, and maybe Ohio State). McCabe, Feuerbach, and O'Grady should be solid role players. From there, the question is how the freshman fill in, but we've heard good things so far, especially with Heiden.

5 star prospect McKenna Woliczko posted these pictures on her Twitter account along with this message:

Very thankful for the family feel.

Sounds like Teagan Mallegni is turning some heads as well.

Woliczko visit picks..

CC in the comments along with other Hawks..

Then Addison Bjorn commenting: YESSSSS 😍 😍

Edit: She also pinned Caitlin’s comment.

I hope everyone hit the arrow in the middle right to see all of the pics; those pics with the little brother are so freaking good AND important; the Iowa staff made sure the younger brother was very much part of the visit. The dad commented on how cool it was that IOWA FOOTBALL allowed him to throw passes to his son at Kinnick, so hat tip to Kirk Ferentz for his assist.

This is on the Dad's Twitter account; Iowa obviously paid attention to how close the 2 siblings are.

It seems likely that we will get an official visit from McKenna. Sure hope so.
Would be a great addition for Iowa.
And then years later get a commitment from her younger brother.

I think Iowa WBB has several things down now:

* How to host a recruit

* How to plan for and navigate the Final 4 games (after 2 consecutive championship game appearances)

Now, we just gotta win @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

;)

Of course we're all attracted to McKenna's national ratings by the expert evaluators. What's more exciting is how all the posts by her and her parents reveal the nature of their entire family. They truly feel like an Iowa-type family. She'll have the chance to go anywhere...I hope Iowa's genuine family culture wins out.
