Baylor's massive post player doesn't usually dominate games. Tonight was her highest scoring game by far.

She averaged 5ppg and went off for 25??

Yeah she was hot from the field. Iowa dared her to shoot it and unfortunately she made them. If she scores her average it is a MUCH closer game.
Was she the one who broke Doolittle's nose? If so, she also got called for a flagrant foul in Baylor's loss to ND yesterday for throwing elbows to the head.
Yes she was, I personally thought that should of been a Flagarant 2 on her. Just because she was swinging her elbows high. If she was swinging them below the shoulders and hit her, well then its a flagrant 1. But she was above the shoulders and I realize DoLittle was pressuring her, but still she swung high and should of been ejected. Regardless that was with about 7min left and the game had already been decided at that point.
I saw her (Baylor bully) go through the line to shake hands and tried to apologize to Bluder, and I'm assuming Bethany but they didn't show that on camera. Would have been interesting to hear Bluder's comments on it. I'm with you on the "above the shoulders" aspect. It looked more like an MMA move (cue Penn State dude) with her back elbow coming over the top right into BD's face. Like you I agree BD was playing close defense, but it wasn't like she simply turned with the ball and her elbow caught her. You can't convince me it was an accident, especially given she did a similar thing earlier in our game and got the flagrant in the Notre Dame game.
It would be interesting to see her stats with fouls for the year, to see if she frequently has gotten in foul trouble early on in games with this type of behavior, and therefore out of the game more than which had her overall stats lower as a result. The announcers were going on about her having a career day against Iowa. I wonder if that career day was largely due to the f'd up refs looking the other way this time around when other officiating crews didn't let her get away with so much in the past.

Quite a few Big 10 front court players looked like All Americans against us. E. Cady: 19 points and 18 rebounds--19 rebounds in another; Amanda Zahui B 29 points and 22 rebounds and 22 and 21 in the other; C. Goree 26 points and 13 rebounds; A. Hart 24 and 8; N. Coffey 35 points (to be fair, she had 4 3-pointers); B. Jones 19 points and 15 rebounds.

Doolittle was the only credible* interior defender and can only do so much with five fouls (and one nose).

*Till was our "pepper pot," which is rare for a center, but was severly undersized.

I like Lisa Bluder and she had some good shooters this year. If she had a clue how to teach rebounding and defense, she'd have a top 10 team. And I'm beginning to wonder if she has a little racial bias.
I'm not wondering that you're full of crap
