Wow. 10 minute quarters with 2-shot bonus after 5 fouls in any quarter (1-and-1 is gone from womens game). They also can now advance the ball to half court (NBA rule) if timeout in final minute without first advancing the ball. Weird.

Hanna is going to be a very good player down the road. It's sort of a numbers game at the present time

I was very impressed with Megan Gustafson last night. She has good size and quickness. She hit the boards hard and played good defense. In one sequence she boxed out the big UND center all the way off the court. While Megan didn't get the rebound as she was then out of position, the ball fell happily to another Hawk player Megan has a nice up and under move which she used for two or three baskets. Obviously she has a lot of learning ahead of her, but she looked good. Not sure she has much range, but hopefully that will be developed.

After she scored a double-double in the first half for the first real game of the year, I imagined a new look for Kali.

Because those professional sports have such a great market share of the sports audience....smart. College BBall was great without the tinkering to make it more professional.
