Well we were a national title contender that happened to lose 4 games all late in the 4th quarter. I can make up hyperbole too!
The UNL “big boys” gave up 5.9 yards per rush with Zero sacks.
You beat Minny, IL, & Bethune Cookman. MSU was a solid win but it’s a 6 win MSU not the 10+ variety.

I couldn't help but smile about your VHS tapes comment. Those were a long time ago. I miss the '90s. The only flaw with the decade was Nebraska. All the other teams must have really sucked those three years.

The Nebraska fan base needs some serious time with a therapist. There are some things to work out there. Why not just sit back and enjoy the modest gains you have made this year? And they have. Instead, there is this insatiable need to chest thump and scream trash talk while your team accomplishes virtually nothing in terms of actually winning games.

I think all he really showed is how important this game was for them. Nebraska will not win the Big Ten next year. No way. Stanley Morgan gone, defense is subpar (at best), and Ozigbo gone. Running game was pretty much non existent minus the Adrian Martinez scrambles and runs.

Actually, Penn St was better in 94 and Michigan was better in 97 but they didn't settle it on the field back then. They were voted national champs.
Oklahoma was .500 or losing record those years and Texas didn't even join the league until 96. So they rode a joke conference all the way those days. Those days are long gone. The VHS comment was great

I work with a guy here in Des Moines who is a big Nebraska fan. Has had season tickets for years. Even he admits the N on the helmet stands for Nowledge!
LMAO. This game should have been a blow out if our coaching staff doesn’t have amnesia for 15 minutes a game. Imagine if we coached as well during the game as we do the other 352 days a year.
I live next to a reasonable Husker family (from Omaha). They still have season tickets and go to quite a bit of games when they can. They understand Nebraska’s place in 2018 college football’s landscape. I also have a friend from Western Iowa and he acts like it’s still 1997 and reminds me of OP. He gets laughed at constantly.
