A 33-year-old Iowa man not wearing pants or shoes was arrested early Thursday in Council Bluffs after he fled from authorities.
Bluffs police said around 3 a.m., officers were dispatched to Tyson Foods on 23rd Avenue to investigate a suspicious man who appeared to be disoriented. Police said the man was outside without pants or shoes and he was wrapped in a blanket.
The Davis City man ran from officers, hiding in a marshy area on 23rd Avenue, police said. After an hourlong search, police said, the man surrendered to officers.
He was taken by rescue squad to a Bluffs hospital for treatment of possible hypothermia, police said.
He later was released and arrested on outstanding warrants out of Cass County, Iowa, police said. He was being held in the Pottawattamie County Jail.
