Is anyone super excited to watch Yellowstone Sunday night?

So tonight's episode was about Taylor's biceps. Got it.

Looking forward to wrapping this thing up and moving on to Landman. I'm hearing Billy Bob nails the role.
I'm enjoying Landman but wondering how Sheridan is going to insert himself in this one now. Sun was đź’©, watched the season 2 finale of Lioness in the morning, saves the day there as a Delta sniper then Sun night is selling horses, etc.

Aside from Billy Bob's one liners it pretty much sucks so far. Ali Larters teets were a nice surprise too but so far there's just no real story. It's Yellowstone in the oil fields minus the "they're taking my land" plot.

Jamie took one right in the gut from Beth then took a ride to the train station. Way to go Beth. Plunge that knife deep but no twist or turn. That’s weak.

Basically zero surprises in the finale.

Beth kills Jamie, as expected.

The Indians get their land back after seven generations, as expected.

Travis humiliates Jimmy while riding his million dollar horse, as per usual. And also humiliates Teeter, just to mix things up a bit.

After spending his entire life trying to get away from the ranch, Kayce carves out a previously unused section of the property for his own small cattle operation that he and Tate can manage together. Because that’s totally different than running his family’s ranch.

Well, it's likely cheaper with less drama and significantly less killing.

Geez, were you not paying attention? They explained for 27 seconds three episodes ago about this very significant ranch house and land, then Tate rebuilt the kitchen for mom and dad.

Montana cops have to be the worst. Blood and DNA all over Jamie’s house, which is oddly unguarded with no cameras inside, outside, or on the neighbor’s doorbells. Beth just waltzes in, again, this time kills him, and the cops buy her story. Then, there is no video anywhere if Rip and Lloyd out for a drive, even though the first f***ing thing any cop would do is ask Beth if they can call her husband to come see her at the hospital she needs to go to after being nearly choked and beaten to death.
“My husband with the history of bar fights? Haven’t seen him”.
Since they tied up so many things nicely, why didn’t Jimmy or Teeter kill whatever Taylor’s character’s name was? Jimmy should have warned him about mocking him one more time… Then curb stomped him.

Evidently not one doorbell camera in the neighborhood caught any images of the heavy duty pickup emblazoned with “YELLOWSTONE DUTTON RANCH” on the side or Rip and Lloyd carrying a fvcking body out to the truck.

Thankfully in this episode Taylor didn’t subject us to an 8-minute scene with Monica helping Tate hang drywall while wearing a hardhat she bought from L.L. Bean.

I seriously wonder if Sheridan thinks that belittling of Jimmy is clever writing or funny?

Just asinine, phoning it in, writing these past couple seasons.

I vaguely remember that Rip didn't even have a birth certificate. So do they even have a record of him in the state of Montana?

The only good thing to come from the episode is we finallly learn exactly how big the Dutton Ranch is. 1.1 million @ 1.25/acre is 880,000 acres.
Which in itself is beyond ridiculous. The actual largest ranch in Montana is about 1/3 that size.
It would be almost 1400 Sq miles in size, 37 miles by 37 miles.
Sheridan is a moron.

I haven’t watched the show but the commentary is hilarious.

Sheridan sounds like a complete douche.

Right. And yeah, Casey, you can’t figure how to make money off 880,000 acres. You could probably run 50,000 pairs on that, but you’re going to kill it with 300 pairs, buying them at historic high cattle prices.

He’s going to breed his way to a huge cattle operation on the land he said is over run with wolves that ate their calves so they shut it down. Makes sense.

None of it made any sense. Just delusional aspects to every plot or conflict. Don’t get me started on the fight with Jamie and Beth. Although she does have bigger balls than him, I’d call Rip and tell him to come get his dog before it’s put down.

Speaking of wolves, don’t forget the absolute cheesiest moment of the episode - maybe of the entire series - when Kayce, Monica, Tate, and Mo all watched a wolf digging a hole. Kayce said he was looking for food and Mo corrected him, saying wolves don’t dig for food. He’s digging a den.

Monica lamented “so much for my chicken coop” and Mo assuaged her concerns by saying that wolf isn’t real. All four of them were imagining it.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually thought the finale was pretty decent.
There were many worse episodes over the last two years, so, by that standard, I agree, it certainly could have been much, much worse - like a lot of shirtless Sheridan riding around in circles as an example.

It was definitely time for Yellowstone to be retired, they jumped the shark a long time ago. Landman has been extremely disappointing to me so far. With a cast like that, it's reduced to Billy Bob and one-liners.

I am looking forward to Season 2 of 1923. Should be interesting to see where that leads, lots of likeable characters.

This season has been brutal but let’s be honest, they ran out of story lines. The “they want my land” can only take you so far.

I laughed when they sold off the cows in Texas and got a check for 13 million. Holy shit. They would need to have sold a very large amount of beef to get that. Cattle prices are great but the 500lb feeder calves would have sold for $800 each. The cows maybe $1000 if they were being kept for breeding. They had no fat cattle.

A 500 pound steer is worth anywhere from $1600-$2000 right now depending on condition/genetics. Bred cows are bringing over $3000 a piece for 2nd calf heifers and middle aged cows are averaging $2500-$2600. Doesn't take much to hit a million dollars in cattle right now.

Agreed on all points. Hope 1923 plays out well with the nephew/Africa hunter guy coming home.

Will add two more:
* Lioness was really good , and they nosedived season two towards the end, especially with Sheridan inserting himself (again) as a super sniper save the day
* At least Landman has Ari Larter bewbs

If they are 2nd calf, would they really be considered heifers?

I was laughing/complaining at that whole scene. It started with Kayce in the house after signing the papers and saying he needed a minute alone or something like that and then he steps outside. Within 30 seconds 3 of the 4 other people that were in the house had followed him outside for that scene. I told my wife I guess he isn`t going to get that alone time he was asking them to give him.....

You cant deny his success in the last several years but he moved to Hollywood many many years ago to be an actor and when he is in a show you can see why his road to fame was not going to be as an actor.

Glad the show is over, as each season has gotten progressively worse. But I'm curious why they labeled it the "Season Finale" instead of the "Series Finale"?
There are plans to center something around Rip, I believe. I recall reading something about Hauser signing onto a project.

Hope it centers around bad-ass Rip. Sheridan absolutely neutered Rip over the last few seasons.

@lucas80 - We need an update on the horned up gym MILFs. Are they in mourning now that the show is over and they have to wait a while for new Rip content? Did you need to console them?

He also played one of Will’s friends in “Good Will Hunting.”
