Is anyone super excited to watch Yellowstone Sunday night?

I was perplexed with the lack of investigation into Jamie's disappearance. I mean he beats the shit out of his sister, then disappears, then they find his car on fire? Then just go "oh well." I mean he was the fvcking attorney general.
Beth looks like Frankenstein now.
Sara was the best part of this season. So fine.
All and all it was entertaining. If you're looking for realism, look elsewhere.

the investigation lasted about as long as the one for the governor. Really seems Taylor Sheridan doesn't care about police procedurals or even common sense for that matter

As someone mentioned, remember where his show writing roots lie... sons of anarchy. Never seen so many random shootouts in broad daylight with no police response than on that show. Too bad bc the premise behind Yellowstone was pretty cool, but they wrecked it with ridiculousness.

I actually can't find where he did any writing on SOA. But otherwise I agree.

He was an actor on SOA, he's basically just copied anything Kurt Sutter did in that show and parlayed it into a very nice career. He owes Kurt his soul

After watching that last episode, I would have been happier if they just stopped production all together and not finished it.

It was a GOT last season shit show

Dont forget, Kayce showed up at the ME office and explained to her how to do a proper autopsy. Good thing he did otherwise that stupid ME would have just ruled a suicide.

I'm guessing sheridan's big head wouldn't allow him to work with costner. Writing something up on the fly isn't in sheridan's wheelhouse.

I didn't think we knew one way or the other...off screen they'll be an ongoing investigation that will result in him never being found.

There are plans to center something around Rip, I believe. I recall reading something about Hauser signing onto a project.
The premise of that show sounds awful. Mainly because I don’t know if I’ve ever hated a character more than Beth.

Ya, she's pretty awful. Sometimes her strength and boldness were cool, but most of the time it was over-the-top, like Monica's OCD in the final seasons of Friends.

Yeah I knew he played the deputy. I guess he just watched and learned....wrongly.
Not necessarily. I really enjoyed 1883, 1923 and the first 3 seasons of Yellowstone (2 being the strongest). Mayor of Kingstown is probably my favorite of all his shows. I haven't watched Landman, but I did like Lioness--given I watched it right after binging Homeland so I was in that CIA special Ops kinda mood.

Yeah I liked 1883 and 1923 as well...looking forward to season 2 of 1923. Seems like he starts off well and then goes off the rails. The fact that those two prequels were one and apparently two seasons didn't give him enough time to kill it.

Landman has been good so far.

Well might thought is she stabbed him in the gut. They would find a pool of his blood. Then she tells the cops that he "ran off".

If you find that much of a person's blood you would probably gather they arn't "running off" anywhere.

Also as you said he's the state attorney general. The investigation would have all the resources it needs and likely would receive help from the FBI.

I'm in the midst of 1923. Wife is on season 1, episode 4. JFC, is this what all the hype is about? A melodramatic soap opera on a better budget? This shit is just a drawn out Titanic. I'm ashamed of some of you.

@lucas80 - We need an update on the horned up gym MILFs. Are they in mourning now that the show is over and they have to wait a while for new Rip content? Did you need to console them?
Mixed reviews. Two days after the finale I went to my early morning fitness class and one of the MILFs who really loved the show sent a message at 06:15, "Skipping today. Wedding anniversary last night...". I assume she saddled Rip up the night before.

1923 was sort of meh. I liked 1883 the best of all the Yellowstone iterations, in spite of Elsa cycling through 8 different boyfriends in her quest for love on the Oregon Trail.

Tim McGraw turned in a very solid performance, much better than I was expecting.

Oh, like the main character in A River Runs Through It running through all the brothers. Nice that the sloots get some representation.
