I heard this on a Des Moines Register podcast.

What other concerns would NFL scouts have on CJB?

Arm strength and toughness sure are not weaknesses =)

I think "size" is the worry. He lacks both ideal height and weight, though, I think his listed height and weight of 6'2 and 215 are both considered to meet the minimum threshold for a starting NFL QB. I think this is where durability issues from last season reinforce the size concerns. Also had a lot of passes batted down last year. Part of that is delivery, part is knowing where the passing windows are, but part of that is also size, so that again reinforces size as a worry.

CJB is not the "ideal" height of your typical NFL QB. They are always looking for the next 6'5" 230 QB that comes out of a college that runs a pro style offense. That said, Drew Brees say EFF you scouts!

The average height of NFL quarterbacks in the NFL right now (including backups) is 6'2". Some notables are Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo, Mathew Stafford, Andy Dalton, Derek Carr, Ryan Fitzpatrick at 6'2". Russell Wilson is 5'11". Drew Brees is 6'0". You are correct though, most superstar QBs are in the 6'4" range like Brady, Newton, Luck, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Manning.
