The Iowa Woman were a ton of fun to watch this past season. With all the increases in attendance and great TV ratings, I wonder if the TV Contracts for B1G Woman's Hoops get bigger.
The current media rights contract with ESPN expires in 2024. As the NCAA negotiates its next media rights package, women’s basketball could stand on its own, as men’s basketball and football do.

Really. There is no question. There are a lot of questions. Is the increased interest in women's basketball sustainable or is it tied to a single player or perhaps a good vs bad storyline between a couple of players and teams? There is no question NCAAW basketball deserves more TV coverage during the regular season.
I respectfully disagree. The sport as a whole is on the upswing and Iowa is not the only team gaining popularity. CC has certainly played a role in the rising interest in women's college basketball but so have others.Really. There is no question. There are a lot of questions. Once said player leaves, will there be anywhere near as much interest? Probably not. Sure, the women were fun to watch this year, but it's not a high-level game. It's a unique moment in time that will in all likelihood be unsustainable.
How in demand will Iowa Woman's Hoops non-conference games be on ESPN? How many sponsors will want to be associated with Caitlan Clark?
We will see.How many desirable OOC road games will not be part of a tournament where the rights are already spoken for? 1-2 per year?
And after she graduates, what will the name be?How about an all Women's BB Network?
Call it CCTV.
