This was brought up in a Gazette "On Iowa Podcast." Obviously, if we win, we are an unprecedented 13-0. This is for perfection. We will never see 13-0 in our lifetime.

A win gets Iowa into the Final 4 of Division I/FBS football. The last time Iowa was in the Final Four of anything significant was in 1980 (Lute Olson's basketball team)

A win gives Iowa its first B1G Championship in 11 years and first non-shared B1G championship in 30 years (1985 was the last non shared B1G championship);

The nation and, more importantly, recruits are watching. A win in this game could have a major impact on the 2017 class.

Scott Dochterman of the Gazette thought the 1986 Rose Bowl was the most important game because had we won that game, there was a chance for Iowa to be ranked #1 in the final AP poll.

I would agree with Dochterman on this one. Largely because we were in a position to do it on the last weekend of Football. We need 2 more wins to even be in that spot.

Each of the next three games will be the most important until the next one.

You're right.... Just imagine the pay day Harmon could have set himself up for in the playoffs

Most important and biggest loss. UCLA was 6-4-1 or thereabouts and our defense couldn't stop the run and Ronnie Harmon couldn't stop fumbling the ball after a career of not fumbling.
If it was honest bad game, it is shame it happened in that game.

Foremost in this game with MSU, I want Iowa to be in the game and if we lose so be it. Getting blown out would be fodder for the overrated crowd and cheapen this 12-0 season.

We will not get blown out. I see zero chance of that happening. I think it's a tight ball game with Iowa holding the lead for the majority of the game and it will come down to the end. The question will be are wet up by 3, 7, 8? How many will Connor cook need on his last drive to keep sparty in it or to win it. My prediction, is Iowa leads 27-21 on Michigan state's final possession and one of our backers intercept a cook pass to seal the deal.
Btw I think king gets the record this week and we pick off cook twice.
I also think we have a back rush for over 100 yards. My gut says it's Daniels and he has a big game. And CJ will play a solid clean game using his weapons, and he hits Smith for at least one big pass play.

a couple weeks ago a family member brought up Ronnie and he still thinks Ronnie threw the game; crazy how its been 30 years and Hawk fans who witnessed the game still can't believe what happened

i have no idea what will happen; i think it will be a close game but MSU is on a roll now, beating OSU at the Shoe and blowing out PSU

I think if we win this weekend, the next game is the biggest AINEC.

there are no weather elements to deal with; CJ can let it rip; can't wait to see what Iowa has up its sleeve

I wonder if we see Wadley? or will it be JC and Daniels?

If Daniels is hesitant hitting the hole, it'll be a lot of Canzeri, which always opens the door for some Wadley relief.

why cant we see the Daniels from the Minnesota game every game (assuming he is healthy)?
