He's the Calipari of Football. NEEDS the best players on HIS team to win. And still doesn't win 'em all. Ha. Like Saban, would fail in NFL. Then again, he'd never be asked to be an NFL coach, because it's not a recruiting league. Great recruiter, Overrated coach!! Going 12-0 w a bunch of FA's only.. That's impressive.

I'm sorry, there have been a lot of coaches at elite programs who haven't turned recruiting into winning. The guy has THREE national championships.
It's really not even an argument whether he can coach or not. The guy can coach.
Other overrated coaches besides Meyer who only won because of the talent on their team- Bill Walsh, Chuck Noll, Tom Landry, Vince Lombardi, Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Red Aurbach, Knute Rockne, Geno Auriemma, Paul Bear Bryant, Woody Hayes, Paul Brown... Overrated, every single one of them. LOL!
This is spot on. Now, I'm sure Urban did have some health related issues brought on by stress, but he also burned A LOT of bridges with bull gators and high school coaches in Florida. He's a very good motivator and probably the biggest snake oil salesman in college football.
He's also stepped into some ideal situations at both florida and OSU. Go back and look at the state of the SEC/Florida State/duh u at the time he won his titles. Les Miles was wrapping up using Saban's left over talent when he jumped ship for the Dolphins, Bama was at the end of Shula/start of the Saban era and FSU was in the middle of the "lost decade", where they hovered around .500. By 2010 (Urban's last year) Saban had won a national title @ Bama, Auburn started making better "investments" in players and FSU had moved on to Fisher who was fresh off a top 10 class with a lot of head to head wins vs Urban.
He walked into OSU when Michigan had Brady Hoke as their head coach, PSU was still in the middle of the scandal and realistically no one else in the Big 10 can touch OSU in resources or recruiting outside of those 2 schools. Harbaugh (as bat shit crazy as he is) will be a thorn in Urban's side in the near future and Dantonio's style will always give Urb problems.
Again, good coach, great motivator, has done a great job of picking his jobs wisely.
